But continuing on the Quest 3S, anyone has experience with streaming to it? I own the previous generation, I wonder if it’s worth dusting it off to try it out!

3S is the 2’s lenses so it’s not a big improvement on the streaming to it front. You need the regular 3 for the far better pancake lenses.

So anyways. I want to complain about the Kiryu’s English voice in the Yakuza 0 Director’s cut, because I’m watching a playthrough and the guy doesn’t seem to put much effort in his work for the opening scenes of the game so far.

The experience with the 3 vs 3S is so much more enjoyable not having to struggle to find the “sweet spot”.

So anyways. I want to complain about the Kiryu’s English voice in the Yakuza 0 Director’s cut, because I’m watching a playthrough and the guy doesn’t seem to put much effort in his work for the opening scenes of the game so far.

That’s because the VA is Yong Yea, who took over the role with LAD Gaiden. He’s pretty one-note in the clips I’ve seen on YT.

I started watching a playthrough and his tone is always off, his delivery seemingly trying to be incredibly stoic, which leaves out a lot of Kiryu’s mannerism imo, making his overall performance kind of dull. Which hurts it more because I think the other actors are doing a better job with their own.

edit: Thinking about it now, I don’t know how Nishiki’s voice actor will do with the THAT SCENE!

I’m a firm believer that copyrights are way too long. Anything before 1980 should be fair use by now. At the very least everything before 1970.

It was fine the couple times I tried it but if I’m going to play games in VR I want it to be actual VR and not just a big screen experience. Modern TVs are big enough as is Also like others have said the Quest 3s is a major downgrade from the Quest 3. Unfortunately for me, my kid is obsessed with VR so I’m probably going to end up buying it (it will be our 4th quest)

Correct. I am at a completely different end of the spectrum than the corporations. I think 50 years is more than reasonable for “ the people” to own it. Like I said 40 years is even better. Us humans aren’t exactly immortal, I personally would like to see things change in my lifetime.

Like a lot of things, that will likely only happen in the EU.

Rolled credits on MindsEye this morning. The game is worth a play through when it hits bargain prices but I personally found it pretty disappointing. The city looks cool but is so inaccessible and is basically just background for the missions. I was hoping for more of a WatchDogs or Saints Row open world game and MindsEye just isn’t that. You literally can’t even explore it as the main character.

I wish gaming culture/ media wasn’t so toxic negative… I noticed people piling on this game but I brushed it off as the usual gamer culture hate that most games get now days. Classic case of wolf crying because they kinda hate everything so I just assumed it was fine from the few minutes of footage I watched on YouTube. But in this case the game is actually not really worth it at this price. Don’t buy MindsEye. 7/10.
