It feels kinda sad that we have to celebrate no exclusivity for Playstation
Though basically these two publishers - Capcom & Square Enix are in strong Sony marketing rights camp (and Square is in exclusivity camp). Sony had rights on Pragmata, Street Fighter, Resident Evill…
Oh fantastic! I really missed SF5 on Xbox, so glad that’s not happening again.

I have zero interest in fighting Games but happy for anyone that was hyped for this.
Seems like Capcom is just doing marketing partnership deals with Sony but now exclusivity

The only thing I’m celebrating is the fact one tired old recurring discussion is retired now.

No interest in SF but glad its on xbox, I know it has a lot of fans, im actually surprised though, this had Sony moneyhat written all over it even if it was just timed
Maybe Capcom really is done with that crap completely
That art style is hella weird though lol
Don’t mind me, just posting my W’s.
I look at that list and literally the only PS moneyhat is SFV (which is why I think people keep equating Capcom to Sony).
SFVI was even mentioned to be coming to all platforms except Switch in the Capcom data breach leak (current gen and next gen, that includes Xbox). So I wonder if that game being multiplat (we’ll see when it’s revealed) is basically a statement that Capcom is NOT interested in going exclusive?
With how successful they are right now, the premium would be way too high for S…
I said it in another thread but SFV was ONLY PS4 exclusive because Capcom was in financial trouble at the time and Sony stepped in to literally partially fund the game. That’s why it’s exclusive forever. I don’t even consider it a moneyhat because it sounds like the game wouldn’t have been made without Sony.
Capcom is far from being in trouble nowadays and AFAIK SFV was their only “moneyhat”, they are firmly a multiplat dev now. If Sony was moneyhatting them they’d have gotten RE8, or at the v…
For now I assume any Japanese game getting announced in the vicinity of that “Japanese focused” State of Play that happened is not exclusive because games like SFVI or KH4 would have made that a much better well received showcase.
He said at first his source told him it’s multiplat (this was before the Capcom leak where it was indeed listed as multiplat), but said his source later came back and said Sony was moneyhatting it (apparently Ono wanted it multiplat this time, but since he left Sony stepped in and started moneyhatting). Nick says he gets the feeling there is no moneyhat because this is Capcom themselves announcing it, instead of at a Sony showcase like SFV was.
I too firmly believe it’s multiplat. If Sony thre…
“New Project” announced this year… Remember, the Capcom data breach leak DID list Xbox as a platform for SFVI. I’m confident we’re getting it.
You will with SFVI. Trust me on this.
I’m still not convinced on “Sony locking down big JP 3rd parties”. What do they lockdown besides Final Fantasy? Even their attempt on Tango was put to rest by MS (no more Tango on PS after Ghostwire). I know it’s “”“rumored”"" they’re getting Dragon’s Dogma 2 And SFVI from Capcom, but I believe those rumors as much as I believed the rumor that DMC5 was gonna be a PS4 exclusive and run on Unreal Engine (and not to mention the actual Capcom data leak that has been correct on everything so far sai…

Funny thing is, Xbox will be the best version, thanks to latency. Of course, not including PC but still. That said, looking forward to kick ass 1 on 1 and then hop back to Starfield instantly.

Not really, it shows that things are shifting this generation. That’s very nice.

Also it seems to be a graphical downgrade in comparison to reveal.
Woah, don’t dislocate your shoulder patting yourself on the back there.

I noticed an interesting thing though, It’s only coming to Series. Not One. But is coming to PS4. KOFXV did it, the new One Piece JRPG is doing it.
Not that I mind.
Is this maybe what Nick’s source was confused and flip floppy about? Maybe Capcom was just considering if an Xbox One port would be worth doing?

By then, Xbox ecosystem will be catching up closely to One. Plus, they won’t have to deal with compromise, so by default, PS4 will be weakest version.
Huh. I can see why Jim increased production of PS4 now.

You did alot better articulating what I was thinking for awhile on this topic
Ever sense monster hunter world exploded Capcom has only taken money for marketing partnerships (which hell it’s basically free money and helps with marketing costs)
Another trailer that shows more gameplay, including the Ultra Combos for Luke and Ryu.

Am I the only one that absolutely saw Yakuza in that bit where they walk around in the city? Interesting change for the IP.

It kinda makes sense, a good bulk of fighting game fans are on PS and many still cant get their hands on a ps5
Xbox One however is basically dead
If anything this sort of thing is good for xbox, makes it more likely for someone to pick up a Series S
