xCloud launching September 15th on Android, no iOS at launch, xCloud will have 100+ games via Game Pass Ultimate

Is there an image of the Kishi’s back? Curious how they handled the triggers.

@Jez talks about it in his Kishi video, you can see the back triggers too.

I also notice that this will be done using the Gamepass app rather than a separate streaming app like just now. Just ties back into my thoughts about Gamepass being in the name and at the centre of everything.

I wonder if the app will get this functionality soon for testing.

I’m very happy with their decision to use the same app for streaming and Game Pass. I hope they do the same on Windows 10.

Just wondering if it will be possible to do game streaming without having Game Pass. They’ve said you’ll be able to stream the games you own in the future. But they didn’t say you wouldn’t need a GP sub for that.

Feels like this is it just moving into a more open beta now. I personally feel like they need the XSX blades in there before going much further or it will get buried right out of the gate like Stadia.

I don’t think the Game Streaming app is going away. I think it will be the console streaming go to and eventually where you can go to stream via xCloud non-GP games.

I think it will eventually go away. They can have that functionality in the regular Xbox app ;).

Awesome thanks!

Just had an email from Microsoft that makes it sound like the streaming app is going, from the screen shots it looks like it might be possible to stream straight from the game pass app, which would be nice…

Lack of Apple/iOS support is a shame. I’m currently testing xCloud on my iPhone right now with the single game MCC. Hopefully Xbox could work a deal out with Apple to bring this program to the app store fully without any restrictions. This would also invite other programs like Stadia on iOS as well.

No Brazil, well its over

That is what is going to happen.

I love that the Game Pass app just has a button called play. So damn cool.

Yep. Again, this is just the first step for xCloud, but it’s the perfect way to begin to roll it out. The experience of having most* of the Game Pass library there and playable at the press of the button is an amazing perk.

*I wonder if there will be games on GPU that won’t be streamable on xCloud - RDR2 comes to mind. That would be a major bummer - having a consistent library would definitely be preferable. (though the libraries between Xbox/PC isn’t consistent so… hmm)

I’m sure they will expand to more countries (including Brazil) in the near future. And yes, Brazil is an important market for Xbox.

No iOS is a bummer. Hopefully  can work something out with them and allow xCloud/Stadia on iOS.

xCloud videos on YouTube gonna turn like any music video.

“COME TO BRAZIL”

I never thought about that way, I just thought it was listed there, because if you’re a Sony fan that doesn’t pay much attention to Xbox, but interested in trying out xcloud, you might think you have to buy an Xbox controller.

But knowing you can plug in the controller that came with your ps4 is handy as it doesn’t cause extra expense and makes the service very accessible.

But you are most likely correct

I watched a show the other day that went over gaming in Brazil, they were saying consoles are insanely expensive.

& they were saying the Xbox 360 is incredibly popular still due to piracy.

I honestly feel game pass/xcloud could be huge in Brazil, due to how expensive consoles are, and easy access to so many games.

Also it was interesting to see all the knock off or licensed versions of consoles, like the dractor and tectoy stuff.

I hope the show was about Brazil now, or I’m going to look very silly XD.
