I’m sure you’ve all been wondering what I’ve been up to. So you see, I got a Switch and went a little purchase happy… okay… really purchase happy. Thus I was buried in backlog further than I already was with the 3DS games…

If you want me to breakdown my thoughts on any of the games I’ve played so far, don’t hesitate to ask! As you can tell, some were on the shorter side while some were… well… not at all.

Finished the Nightmare in North Point DLC for Sleeping Dogs. I’m not quite sure how I feel about it… On one hand the gameplay and content was decent (I finished it 100%) but on the other I kinda dislike silly DLC’s for otherwise sort of serious games. It took away the mood and much of the things I enjoyed about the main game.
Kinda pointless DLC with a nonsensical story and silly undead stuff. Meh.
Finished Far Cry Blood Dragon. +1 (?). I think this was originally a Far Cry 3 DLC, but I own it as a standalone. Not sure how to score it. I’ll go with whatever you guys think.
Anyway, I had no idea what I was getting into with this game. I had no idea it even had dragons in it.
This was a total hoot from beginning to end. From the practical joke tutorial section to the batshit crazy final mission. It is completely over the top, funny, cheesy, and filled with 80s references. There are not many games like this. Really enjoyed it.
Just finished Defense Grid 2. I had done a few levels years ago (and even played a bit of the original), but for some reason never finished it. Randomly had a tower defense itch and decided to dive back in.
I didn’t really pay attention to the story, but felt like it was a perfect podcast game.
There we go! Finished the last DLC for Sleeping Dogs, Year of the Snake.
This was a good one, playing Wei as a cop was great. The story was perhaps not very fleshed out, but the missions and the New Years backdrop was neat. Some good combat and new stuff made it feel fresh and the side content whilst not very deep either, was relevant to the plot. Another one I 100%-ed without planning to, good stuff.
I really enjoyed Sleeping Dogs, I will keep this installed and go back to do side content in the main game when I have the time. Great game!
