You can with Dalle 2, It’s part of OpenAI along with ChatGPT.
I can imagine Asobo will like to experiment this.
I imagine it wont be long before the tech is used in multiple ways by most devs out there, it’s too strong a resource to not use and will only get better
I’m just imagining it being used for endless unique quests in something like Elder Scrolls
I can’t shake the feeling a lot of things are going to get very impersonal going forward. The end result may not differ much, but just the knowledge that it’s made by machines taints it a bit for me.
I can understand that worry but I think something like games will always have that human touch
To me I’m looking at it kinda like how BGS does open worlds where a lot of it is procedurally generated but then touched up by the artists the way they want it to
I look at the AI stuff as an evolution of that where devs will use it for various aspects of game dev and design but then put their own touch on it but I do get the worry, iv already seen a lot of artists get very worried by this stuff and I don’t blame them, some of the art these AI things produce is insane
Elder Scrolls 6 Super Smart OpenAI NPC is my dream.
This Chat tech could really revolutionize gaming also.
I think Microsoft just hit another goldmine with this one. This is the future tech not VR lol I’m happy they abandoned VR.
Yeah I’m excited to see how all of this new AI technology affects game development - not to replace developers or the work they do but to serve as a tool to let them better develop games. It’s not even just that it can help large developers develop big games, I’m particularly interested to see how it will affect small developers too. I think these AI assisted tools will open up a lot more smaller teams to making games they simply couldn’t before.
Yeah, I can see this aiding smaller devs massively
Maybe in the near future we can “remix” games with a.I. or basically create unrecognizable games from their original inspirations.
GPT : I want to play Injustice but make all the characters Marvel instead.
GPT: I want to play MLB the Show but make the background city feature my hometown with my house visible.
GPT: I want to play GTA 5 but make every building and character look like the Simpsons art style.
GPT: Give me Rock Band 4 but in the style of Hi-Fi Rush and use my custom playlist
Endless possibilities for a creative mind…
I wouldnt be surprised. Xbox is all about digital. Physical Xbox games are rarity in the shops of my town. Series X2 will be digital only, with maybe the option of an external bluray drive.
Yeah, I’m all for it as a ground laying tool to help. But making finished products is soulless, and quite frankly I lose interest in them.
Not to mention my incentive to pay for it is greatly diminished. It loses a lot of it’s value.
Think of it like Star Trek Next Generation’s holodeck. Those programs and worlds look lively in my opinion and created with simple voice prompts and by editing simple parameters. Unreal engine / a.i. / and other large data sets will eventualy get perfected to a point where the gamer is also the game creator.
But wait I’m confused, who will gamers harass online if there are no developers?
You forgot the pages and pages of how Game Pass ruins Game sales then a thread about a publisher saying they want to put every single game they make on there and it not getting off the first page.
Next up: Netflix is hurting Stranger Things DVD-sales.
Why is that still a show, I thought it was just a console war thing for the launch of current gen consoles, I guess they’re just keeping it for the console warrior click bait they probably saw.

Because supposively bad Xbox news generates so much attention that they can keep themselves revelant.
