The combat I’m DA4 looks cool but they definitely need to pause and let you switch between party members… Since you can pretty much do that in most action RPGs. And it shouldn’t be difficult to implement because as the player character you play as customizable avatar that can be any combination of races and classes.

It seems like they are probably going to copy Mass Effect as far as combat for companions goes.

This is a big gamble for the Mavericks. They have to hope that this season will go well and have a deep playoff run. Because Kyrie could just walk away in free agency.

Honestly it’s great and all, if you are not an Dragon Age fan.

Switching between party members, press the pause button and think about your next move is something I really like in Dragon Age. Taking it away to chase a trend is annoying.

If the combat is like GoW that could be really cool, because I never quite enjoyed the real time combat in the DA games. I do hope they don’t remove the more tactical option for combat where you pause the game basically. Was that even in DAI still?

All of that just sounds like stripping dragon age of it’s identity to me, just to appeal to the mass market.

It doesn’t sound like Dragon Age, that’s the problem. I want a proper Bioware RPG, not some action GoW inspired game.

Sounds like it could be a good game, but it doesn’t sound anything like Dragon Age to me. I’ll give it a chance because I love the series but this doesn’t excite me. Why should I be hyped for a new game in a series I love, when the new game sounds like a complete departure from what the series was before?

Basically BioWare is going to have to sell me on this game as a new action-RPG IP. Which, okay fine, that doesn’t sound inherently bad, but don’t sell it to me as a Dragon Age sequel if it’s not even the same genre.

I only played Origins for maybe 5 hours or so back when it released. I enjoyed what I played. I never played Dragon Age 2 or Inquisition but I did watch gameplay of Inquisition and wasn’t into the strategy part of it so I never played it and just waited for The Witcher 3 instead. From what I saw of the leaked footage, it’s way more interesting to me than the older games were.

I think the whole BioWare stuff is long gone. Just like Rare isn’t Rare anymore, BioWare isn’t BioWare anymore. After Andromeda and Anthem, they need some successes and if it means appealing to the mass market then so be it because if Dragon Age and Mass Effect don’t hit, I think EA will close them down because they’re not what they once were.

Of course, who knows, seeing 30 second leaked footage doesn’t mean much. The game could be more to what you want than it appears. Just have to wait and see. Perhaps around E3, EA will showcase a proper gameplay trailer and we’ll see how it really is.

I don’t follow NBA all that much anymore but that sounds like a far better trade for the Nets than it does the Mavericks but feel free to correct me if im wrong.

Well if it’s a “contract year” then he could have a productive playoff impact. Overall the NBA is a lot more open with the end of the Lebron James era and the Warriors dynasty era.

I don’t follow the NBA too closely but after taking my kid to a Timberwolves game last week, he’s starting to get interested in the team, so now I’ll probably start watching some more games with him. Plus football is over next week so I have more time for NBA games now.

Also Forza Horizon 5 is redonk with the headphones. This game continues to this day to be my benchmark for next gen on the Xbox Series of consoles.

Xbox Official Headset Questions

I plan on paying for Atmos today. I know it’s like $10-$15 extra which sucks but is what it is. I assume it’s worth it though?

The bigger questions I have is if I pay for Atmos

1. Do I have to manually set it to Atmos or Windows Sonic depending upon the game or can I keep it on Atmos?

2. Is there any need for the DTS setting since that’s also a payment considering I’m just gonna pony up for Atmos?

1. You set your console to dolby atmos and it will automatically output that if the game supports it though you will probably have to set the usage in game to headphones. If it doesn’t support atmos it will just output to Dolby 7.1 or atleast that’s what it does on my AVR

2. I prefer atmos but I have heard some folks prefer DTS. There’s not a big difference so I would stuck with atmos
