Yeah, true but with the discount, it would be $16 which isn’t bad. I’m still waiting for it to be listed on the Xbox Store as all they have is Bright Memory and some kind of ultimate edition but no price.

It’s a great game. My #1 Switch game and the reason why I bought a Switch to begin with. The DKC expansion is pretty good too but is more of the same.

But worth the 5 bucks?

I watched the gameplay over the second game again and man it looks great. Biggest two differences seem to be that the camera in several parts is more like Mario 64, Sunshine and Oddysey which is great and we can walk around freely during combat, so the whole way of manoeuvring during combat in the first one is gone.

Travelling throughout the seas, robbing places and ships, actual good sword combat and something more single player focused would make absolute bank

If you like Kingdom Battle, DKC is easily worth $5. I paid $15 for it and rated it an 8.0/10. Kingdom Battle base game was an 8.5/10 for me.

Sparks of Hope looks excellent. And is also a far bigger game with a lot of exploration, puzzles and other stuff.

Would it though? Making such game is not cheap.

Of course it wouldn’t be cheap but pirates is a theme and concept that has been woefully underutilised in games, at least AAA

Im not sure how the things I mentioned above wouldn’t appeal to many people, SoT is basically a dumbed down version of that and it’s one of the most popular games on the market

Wow, today’s review was number 100 for me. My first review was in July of 2019 but I didn’t really take it serious and try to do it myself until half a year later. Pretty crazy to be at this number of reviews now, and the site is closing in on 300 total. Figures 100 would be a game I truly did not like (but hey others are reviewing it well so maybe I’m the outlier!)
