Sheesh man, both Sony and Nintendo having a rather strong year this year and Xbox was supposed to have one too, first party wise. Just feels bad man, damn.

But here’s to 2023 for what really should be a strong year for them if everything goes as planned. Starfield and Redfall are a lock, just have to wait and see if both truly are in the first half. And if Avowed maybe could close the year that would be damn good.

I probably shouldn’t hopen too much for any big Game Pass surprises either, big ones that is. We’ve just had the big show.

Sony is really on fire this year, i expected them to have nothing again for second half when we joined 2022, but they managed to get TLOU Remake and GoW2, and then they still have to do their big showcase where their future bombs will be shown, definitely funny months for them incoming.

For MS it seems it’ll be the opposite, i expect very dry and boring months until at least TGA, i think we’ll see some Forza content on twitch just like last year with FH5 but not much else. Guess the Xbox threads here and on other era for example will be quite slow paced.

2023 on the other hand, while i have no faith on Avowed at all since it hasn’t had a date yet and we’ve heard about it’s “resets”, there are many games that are almost a lock since they are delays from 2022, Diablo 4, FM, Starfield, Redfall, Baldur’s Gate, PoE2… it’s gonna be crazy.

This year for me is all about playing next Path of Exile leagues a bit and not much else, maybe it’s a good idea to stay away from gaming on next months to be ready for the rollercoaster 2023 will be

…e sides would just blur together. I thought this was just part of the game, but apparently not. Getting up to high speeds on the C1, everything looked incredibly smooth and I was kind of shocked at the difference. My only concern was noticing a weird “bubble” around my car where the world was properly rendered while everything outside that bubble was less rendered. While driving, there would be this distinct line where the bubble ended and the road and surroundings would transition from less rendered to properly rendered and it was incredibly distracting. Anyone else experience this? Anyway, I really like the tv and I think the positives outweigh the negatives so far. If any of you have any tips or tricks to get the best out of your gaming and/or film watching experience, please let me know!

You NEED to download Ori WotW right now, it’s the best showcase of HDR on a OLED. You can get it running in 6K/60 with HDR it just looks stunning.

Another game I like is The Division 2, the HDR looks great and the game just looks extremely sharp and clean image quality wise.

Better yet, use the 6K mode. It is super duper crisp, didn’t expect a big difference but it’s there for sure.

I still think there could be surprise additions - not likely AAA, but still good nonetheless IMO.

Just as an example, PowerWash Simulator was announced for GP yesterday and it is releasing next week.

MS could of course not predict the future, so they didn’t know long beforehand that their two big games would get delayed so far, still, a few really big GP deals sure would have helped.

Power wash Simulator? Truly never heard of it, but those Simulator games don’t get me wide awake or anything, lmao.

God of War Ragnarok, 92+ MC/OC prediction. Game of the year at TGA and overall for 2022. Is now my favorite to be my 2022 game of the year.

I genuinely don’t see anything beating Elden Ring. I dont think Starfield would have either if it released in time for nomination.

Starfield would not win main nomination on TGA simply because it was not on Playstation (it would collect plenty of rewards though across the various media outlets). With GoWR and ER on other hand…That’s interesting.

I don’t think even botw 2 would’ve beat Elden Ring. Read some full reviews if you haven’t already. Critics spoke as highly of ER as they did Ocarina of Time back in the day.

GoWR will have the benefit of recency. And visuals. But on the other hand it is more of the same.

In popular voting I expect Elden Ring though.

Assuming it was eligible for it based on release date, Starfield absolutely would have been nominated unless it was a Cyberpunk trainwreck

I’m going to lose a lot of respect for Geoff Keighley (as if I could lose even more) if Ragnarok gets nominated for this year’s game awards, but Forza Horizon 5 (which shared the same release date as GoW: Ragnarok from last year) didn’t get nominated because it “missed the cut.”

It’ll most likely win something well deserved, but still, not a good look…
