It’s a coin toss as well. Only half of the SaGa games are on Xbox. Voice of cards, Oninaki, A Centennial Case, ect are missing.
100% agree, but I’m not the publisher.
Series S is still niche. With PS having 1m+ and Xbox hanging around 200k+ it is no wonder publishers ignore the platform. At least when they reach 500k or 1m, we might have the change but it will around 2024 probably. And even then - nobody knows how the market will change.
I think Microsoft either should grow their market share fast - with or without Game Pass as even PC versions go to Steam rather than Windows Store - or just acquire a publisher, which I think is a realistic option.
Let’s hope not, jesus. Had they not said a thing last year I guess there absence from this E3 wouldn’t have been as disappointing I guess. Even a update after that announcement would have been nice, radio silence is never nice.
I wonder if Avowed’s scope has changed after Bethesda’s acquisition and they decided to go bigger.
I think major factor is Ace Attorney flopping on xbox and selling just 5,000 copies, and I don’t think other megaman collection sold well. So I can see business perspective why they would skip xbox if they don’t get extra funds
I think it’s too soon to see the effect of increased Xbox marketshare. These games likely had their platforms identified before it was a thing.
Well, what Sponger “leaked” sounded pretty big already. But the problem at the same time is, how reliable is Sponger. He might not seem like a clown who just wants attention, but neither does he have a real track record yet.
Avowed sadly is just one of the several games that got announced a bit too early two years ago, but Xbox needed something for the show, they had to. Now all we can do is wait.
I’m just gonna go and expect a update on Grounded or Pentiment from Obsidian, that’s probably what he means with something cool.
It would probably make sense to expect them to promote the two games they have releasing in the next 6 months.
It’s not about hurt feelings, it’s about not wanting to see incredibly stupid comments coming from vacuous people and/or what are most likely bots.
If I got on a train and there was a guy screaming about cheeseburgers and the devil, I don’t have to ignore him, but if the train offered me the option to mute him and hide his appearance from my view, I would gladly do so.
Yep, absolutely.
As much as I’d love a surprise Avowed trailer, because it couldn’t be at E3 since that was only about the next twelve months, I doubt that very much. Something must have happened last year that had them decide against showing it after all. Maybe that move to UE5 was the reason and they decided to hold off on showing it. It’s all just guesswork.
Game looks neat. Epic is slowly but surely becomes a big and small third party publisher.
Microsoft is nowhere close to monopoly, so they can acquire more
Epic is one of the most interesting gaming companies to see grow this generation. Their position is certainly unique: multiplatform game developer & publisher with arguably the biggest live service platform, platform/store holder, engine & technology licencing for games & film. Would be exciting to see a new big 3rd party publisher.
Yeah, Epic Games has a big potential for growth.
Their gaming growth is only limited by what smaller companies want to be acquired and what games they can copy.
They partner a lot with various companies to publish their games. Also just like Valve decided to diversify themselves (by trying to become a platform holder again), they are also diverse (granted they rely on Fortnite as their main cash cow).
Epic in the publishing game means they could potentially compete with XGS Publishing over projects from independent studios
Yeah, would be interesting to see if they were to go with some handheld device in the future Like Valve
