XboxEra Community Hangout |OT8| Waiting for E3 2023

Trying to put release dates against upcoming games is absolutely pointless.

We don’t know, Grubb doesn’t know and i bet you in some instances Xbox doesn’t even know either.

True that. I mean these lists don’t even mention Starfield and Redfall because it is 100% expected that they will drop in the first half, but in the gaming industry (movie industry too) nothing is guaranteed at all. Anything can happen.

I honestly think we could be facing a kinda light H2 2023, so lists like Grubb’s don’t help lol.

I was checking the Most Played Games on Xbox (US) page and some numbers on Steam DB and seems like Multiversus has already cratered ?

Pretty much. The numbers it was doing wasn’t sustainable as a fighting game.

IMO just one big game is “necessary” in the second half of 2023 just to keep the complaining at mininum, which it finally should be if Redfall and Starfield come out in H1.

Valheim is coming to Xbox next year too iirc, probably not in Game Preview anymore then, I hope. Speaking of Game Preview, I wonder how finished Slime Rancher 2 is. No concrete date yet for full version?

Beacon Pines looks really interesting yet I’m still not sure what type of game it is lol. Giving me some Night in the Woods vibes.

That was honestly one of my favorite parts of that show, not because there weren’t other good things in there as well, but because it just was great and I want more of that world. Or worlds.

Yeah, I’m interested in checking that out as well from the image even though I know nothing about it.

Is EA Motive familiar with this genre? Either way, they got my attention. I’ve wanted a Iron Man game for the longest time. I guess it was too early for the Disney Marvel Games show.

If they can utilise the cinematic engine from Star Wars Squadron, and the flight engine in the movement of Iron Man in the air, and pinch some lads from the Bioware Anthem team…
