You act like this is the first mobile game to have a ton of mtx, the entire ecosystem is built on it and has been by far the biggest part of gaming for the past decade.
Agreed, but still Iâve just want developers to try their best when they present a project for the first time and not have this mentality that we are going to fixed with a patch a later.
I absolutely understand and agree, but I look at from the perspective that a bad game doesnât always stay that way, and developers arenât destined to fail/fold because a game launches poorly.
To me something like Dead Space 3 and Ubisoftâs SINGLE PLAYER MTX is worse than those. They get to be $60 premium singel player games monetized like f2p mobile, multiplayer/service games lol
I know, I just should have say, that am not a fan of micro-transactions at all.
Yeah, in the f2p market Diablo Immortal is the norm and not an exception. The bad ones were hitting a while back and thankfully non-stop p2w or pay-to-skip mechanics are not common in full-priced games anymore.
Totally agree with you on that.
Because of the IP. Itâs a premium PC/console game IP and people have different expectations for how itâs monetized. I invite people to check Nintendoâs mobile efforts, they had that type of mobile monetization schemes, except people love Nintendo too much to care for long lol
Itâs not for a popular IP on a mobile game
A fool and his money are soon parted.
Yeah but the game already has 10+ million players. In the $60 model, if they only sell 5m thatâs significantly more than $24m, and mainline Diablo easily sells 5m in a weekend if not more.

Nah I agree with you lol

Crossing my fingers. That doc deserves every award and accolade it can get and more.
For a lot of gamers the first impression, if itâs negative, never changes. Itâs a strange way of thinking to me, but all those games you listed, are still used by many people as games that are bad regardless of the current reality for those games. This thought process poisons a lot of the discourse around games.
Yet every single one of those games that have exponentially larger communities than their launches⌠so Iâd argue for the millionth time that online discourse means fuck all compared to reality.
Letâs assume TES VI releases four years after Starfield and Starfield doesnât get delayed further. 2027 could be TES VI, 2031 Fallout 5 maybe.
Good lord my head hurts when I think about how insane far away this all is, Jesus. The time between announcement of TES VI and release is insane already, lol.
I am hoping got a 2026 TES 6 since its been in pre production for like 4 years, but even if Fallout 5 was 2030 thatâs still a long ass time.
Hopefully they hire like wild (or Microsoft throws them part of the COD farm lol)
