This studio has blown me away with everything I’ve seen of them. I’m not really an MMO fan but after living Oblivion and Skyrim, the love they pour into that game and universe always amazes me.

The thing is we already know Series X is capable for RTGI since Gears 5 already has that. These people shouldn’t spread misinformation that RTGI is something that’s only possible on PC. :man_shrugging:

Unreleased game with a likely 11-month optimization window no less

It’s not the only example either, Metro Exodus is a pretty fantastic example of a game that received RTGI and a bevy of other additions.

In regards to his tweet, nor can I. ZOS has been one of the best stewards of a live service title and seeing what they can do with the full backing of Xbox (from a tech and funding perspective) is an exciting prospect.

I just rewacthed the Redfall trailer in 4K 60FPS and it looks incredible, while I wasn’t so much before I’m super excited for the game now.

Wonder if they had to calrify this because some ā€œpeopleā€ online were doubting this and trying to convince everyone otherwise

Off course, that’s the reason, the haters do not read beyond the headlines or watched the yesterday video stream, when he mentioned again.

RTGI @ 60fps in the first year of the new consoles was an incredible achievement by 4A Games, especially that it was also a free update.

I really need to go back and finish that game too… I love having all the systems but damn if it doesn’t mean my backlog looks like Jabba.

The even more crazy thing is that it also has RTGI at 60fps on the Series S too. 4A Games is such an amazing team that rarely gets the credit it deserves when it comes to pushing boundaries in tech (plus they make great games too!). Their next, current gen only game will melt faces…I am sure it will look incredible.

4A are a bunch of sorcerers/sorceresses. I was bummed that MS didn’t pick them up when they were still independent, but I think they’re in good hands with Embracer (thus far).

So FM has a completely different working lighting model on Series X if it doesn’t use RTGI like on PC? That sounds strange. I want to know what they do on console and see the differences.

This is a headscratcher. Why not update RTGI lighting probes at a slower frequency on Series S and X?

Metro Exodus is one of my favorites in recent years. Just incredible atmosphere and immersion.

Yeah man, backlog is a curse for everyone no matter how many systems they have :phil_lmao:

You are miss informed here maybe…

RTGI is present in ā€˜non gameplay’ mode… There is no special PC version which has RTGI in gameplay

I don’t know the details but maybe because the Forza engine already has a great GI solution, they probably had to compromise RTGI for Ray reaced reflections in-game and rely on their GI solution. Having both is probably a lot to ask. I’m not aware of a game doing both unless maybe on Nvidia’s RTX.

This may be it. I was so confused.

GI in Horizon works nice enough in 60fps. Should be good enough for Motorsport.

FM is limited in scale so it will work Better infact

Game Pass alone causes a fair amount of the drowning effect…
