Halo is fine, Redfall has leaned too heavy into silly looks as well as silly tone for my taste.
I think Redfall would’ve gained more traction among people if they had presented it differently. It took me, as someone who is at least trying to follow things in gaming, way too long to realize that Redfall is not necessarily just another co-op L4D game.
I’m looking forward to the game as an immersive singleplayer experience. I might have to turn off the dialogue though…
Thankfully they are still a ways out so they can hopefully improve it a lot, seeing that 60 fps vid o f the trailer that Colt had out completely changed the combat for me
I think it’s safe to say that Starfield will have multiple performance options similar to most modern games. The gameplay we saw was most likely 4k30 with as many bells and whistles as possible. I’m hoping that we’ll have a smooth 4k60 performance option basically in line with what Forza Horizon 5 does. The game can look drop dead gorgeous, but the framerate leaves a lot to be desired, whereas the extra frames decrease visual fidelity but doesn’t make you want to stab your eyes out.
Art style of Redfall is fine for me but I do find it disappointing that shadow work is not upto the mark. Several objects lack shadows (close or far away)
Alex doesn’t know shit, he’s not part of the developing team, the only thing people need to believe is what the director of the game said on the showcase and in the Forza stream video yesterday.
Ignore all the noise the small group of haters do on twitter, as Alex they don’t know shit either.
