Seriously, sounds like good times.
I think it’s fine if people say it’s GOTY so far, or likely to be GOTY. Saying it is GOTY in March doesn’t make sense no matter how subjective it will be in the end. All it does is disregard every game coming out the rest of the year.
This game looks really fun! I’ll get this and Kirby in a few days! 
It would be really cool to see this game on Xbox too of course. As you said it will probably do pretty good on Game Pass.
I don’t care about GOTY stuff myself. If I find it important for anything it’s the studio themselves. For example Starfield, knowing that Todd Howard has always wanted to make this but just couldn’t and now he with his team is making that dream come true. For all that hard work to pay off a award would be nice, it’s a recognition of them having delivered something amazing.
But this shit on Twitter about how one game doesn’t stand a chance because of Elden Ring or Hogwarts, just miss me so much with that nonsense.

A new demo of Nexus? Cool for those without Game Pass, but the game’s on there. 
This, as I see it the GOTY awards are recognition for the studios and their output. It doesn’t affect anything for me though as most of the time my favorite game of the year is not the same as the media darlings (those who get the most awards anyway).

But hey, don’t need premium for it. 
This is the only reason I would care. I think it’s nice for people’s hard work to be recognized, but unfortunately it’s never about that when it comes to the keyboard warriors. Using an award show to perpetuate console superiority seems to be more important to most people and it’s exhausting.

If true, rather odd Jason didn’t hear about this.
People have been speculating about Konami x literally everyone. So if Jason hasn’t heard anything, I would assume it’s bull.
I mean even if it did happen, which I doubt, Konami aren’t doing anything useful with those IPs anyway
If something were to happen I would assume Sony funding those IPs as exclusives is the most likely, them buying the IPs is very unlikely and them buying Konami makes little to no sense whatsoever

Once again Konami rumors begin popping up and I am inclined to believe that these people genuinely believe Konami is not doing anything/failing right now…
This is one of their most successful games of all time and it costed pennies to make. This article is from last week
Konami is not interested in going back to AAA.
And from now on when I read the term “rumblings” I’m automatically throwing it in the “bullshit” pile.

That’s true. I mean Jason is pretty much always aware. He was the only one who brought us back to reality last year with Starfield release date.
I agree with Gavin that these franchises should stay for everyone, but at the same time that goes for TES too. But if this were to happen Sony would definitely lock down a new MG, SH or Castlevania, showing once again that MS has to stay agressive with exclusivity as well.
Speaking of SH, I wonder if Bloober is still making it. Didn’t they confirm a deal or partnership with Konami of some sort?
