I fully expect them to acquire Japanese/Asian devs
They’ve talked about getting studio in regions that aren’t just the usual western stuff and everything Phil has talked about he’s pretty much done, best hardware, leading first party, casual/family games (ABK was obviously a big part of this), as well as many more things
A push for Japan is pretty much the final thing he hasn’t done yet that he’s talked about and if they want GP to appeal globally, they need content and studios that isn’t just the west
Tango is nice to have and im sure they’ll do good work but if MS/Xbox do make a play for Japan, I fully expect multiple studios if not a publisher, I was about 50/50 on this before the ABK purchase but after that I absolutely expect a big push for studios/another publisher over there eventually
Possibly. It’s no longer just words that Phil and his team want to branch out more with Japan, starting gaining trust back and win new ones. We just got Atlus back on board. I trust him and his team to get it rolling.

Didn’t counter attacks happen when an big acquisition happened? Like shortly after E3 2018 Sony bought insomniac, then after Activision they bought Bungie, Bethesda was a longer months case, but they did a spree with Housemarque, Firesprite and Bluepoint.
No matter what they do and its crazy to me. They buy one of the biggest publishers and are close to getting another and its still not enough. Insane!
I don’t think a FS acquisition would leak like this, they are owned by a publicy traded company, only deep investors would have been informed to do inside trading like the two guys in the case of Activision acquisition.
