Jez mentioned both Belfry and Pentiment could potentially release this year. Something about one was supposed to release last year and the other in January of this year. The game by Josh Sawyer being similar to Disco Elysium.

probably won’t go well with some people but i agree with his take especially i hate that netflix of games moniker when i feel it’s more like Disney+ where the do movies on their service but charge 30+ dollars as theater release all xbox need to do is to fix their production schedule and budget

They could be partnering with Dotemu for more stuff. I’d love remakes or remasters of Shining Force or Golden Axe. Whatever it is though im in. I love Segas classic stuff from the Genesis/Mega Drive era.

Yeah I am curious about Top Gun now. When I saw the trailer I thought…do we really need this? But the praise has been real.
As for Silent Hill, I know it’s Serrano but the source seems real and legit.

As I said to you yesterday I gave up hope for SH even if it’s real, I don’t expect it’ll be good. And now that it seems like it’s Bloober, lol. SH fans have dreaded even that thought when it was just rumored a while back, if you played The Medium you’ll understand why. They could make a decent horror experience I guess, but the Silent Hill name is way too big for them, virtually all attempts at being inspired by Silent Hill have been lackluster.

Yeah, The Medium had some good moments but I wasn’t super impressed. None of their games have truly hit the mark yet. SH means it’s gonna have combat, otherwise I think the fanbase will riot, lol. I don’t think Bloober has ever done combat before.
Even in Silent Hill, if I remember well, there wasn’t that much combat, or at least it was not really the main point. So it is possible Bloober could do as they did before.

It’s not even about the combat, it’s that Silent Hill is extremely specific. A lot of what made it great under Team Silent were the themes and atmosphere presented through subtle presentation details and technology built around the PlayStation 2 hardware. It’s so specific that the game being played on anything other than a PS2 on a CRT literally doesn’t feel the same and doesn’t convey the same atmosphere. Some fans even argue that if you play it on PC or Xbox you haven’t really played it like how it was designed.
Other than that, the story and themes discussed on the games were so ahead of their time, and a team like Bloober has shown no sign that they understand what that stuff was even about. The storytelling in Medium was embarrassing
