What’s actually readable says it’s for free-to-play games and implies a system for Xbox games, doesn’t say 1st party specifically. It could be a system, a backend or something like that, to regulate and standardize the procedures. It’s not clear what the application implications could be.
Huge acquisitions don’t leak guys, if it’s from second hand sources, you better take a step back. If something happens, it happens, but always when you don’t expect it.
ATVI is huge acquisition of big Xbox & Microsoft importance. CDPR is nothing in comparison (also nobody is gonna buy them anyway).
P.S. Is there a way to ignore threads or putting them on auto-mark-as-read option? Because when I left some messages in a thread, thread always shows me the amount of messages that I did not read in that thread and to remove it I have to scroll down all the messages (I don’t like green labels with the amount of new messages)
Thanks but I don’t think it’s 5. Between March 18th, 2021 and January 5th, 2022, I had 7 refunds which makes me think it’s based on how much the refunds are. Didn’t have any before March 18th, 2021.
I commented from a perspective of my own opinions and preferences rather than from the Microsoft board point of view… Not very outlandish I would think.
The report also indicates that Microsoft is cautious about building this system, and is wary of irritating players through ads, choosing to build out a “private marketplace” for specific brands to add ads into games without altering the gameplay experience. The ads are also reportedly not based on customer data or behavior research.
According to two sources familiar with the plans, this system might, as an example, allow a company to advertise on a billboard within a racing game.
The sources also indicated that this system is meant to be live in the third quarter, and that Microsoft is not interested in taking a cut of the ad revenue right now, with the revenue instead shared between the game developer and the adtech company.
Basically, it would be advertisement nnot affecting the gameplay experience, on billboards or stuff like that, and without MS taking a cut of the revenues between the game developers and the ad company. More money for developers basically.
