Similar scope would be kind of a bummer. With them under Xbox now, much higher budget, Sponger with the rumor that it would be open world, bigger and denser than Skyrim. In fact, Obsidian themselves quite a while ago said they would love to take Pillars into a Skyrim kind of game.

I guess it depends on what is meant with scope, the planets/locations themselves or overall? I mean I personally prefer fully open world, but if it’s like ToW in terms of how the different locations are done that’s ok too. I just hope overall it’s a much bigger and longer game than ToW.

MHW is amazing. Back in 2018 it was the very first Monster Hunter I’ve played this, before I had played the PSP game, briefly.

Definitely not enough, that’s barely past the prologue part, right? I recommend doing a few story quests first, get hunting after those jaggras.

Personally I enjoyed it solo a lot, but once I joined my buddies for a big fight…that is the shit.

Definitely seems that Avowed has been in development longer by now, but I’m not sure either.

2,5 years, they said it in the NoClip documentary, from 2016 to 2019.

Yeah, it’s in active development at least since 2018, after Pillars 2 was released.

It’s a great game with a painfully rng based achievement list. Probably my second proudest completion.

I’m super ok with games the size of TOW, obviously I wouldn’t want all games like that but it is nice to have a game that you can complete in a week or so compared to 6 1/2 months. Maybe if it’s a big crowd pleaser Avowed 2 can have bigger scope.

If there’s one thing I’m super comfortable putting my money on, it’s Avowed being a much larger game than TOW by virtually every scope.
