Honestly most people in the US don’t know either. My friends wouldn’t know that stuff unless I tell them. The marketing in general for it hasn’t been sufficient.
I don’t want to talk about it again for the nth time, but it’s cool to see many thinking Xbox marketing is insufficient. XD
On the topic of Marketing but mostly an aside still, I think it’d be awesome if we got an Xbox Game Pass Super Bowl ad. It may be pricy but if you could hammer home XCloud + Play Anywhere + PC + Console + Day 1 Halo/Forza/Space Skyrim/Rainbow 6/Madden Trials/etc. to a general audience like that, it has killer potential.
Jez’s theory on why they don’t market Xcloud is that they don’t have enough server capacity currently. See waiting queues on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Just finished Hawkeye, was surprisingly nice, definitely enjoyed this more than Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The dynamic between Kate and Clint is nicely done, I like them. Only six episodes and I wish there was more.
Now it’s time for The Eternals, oh boy, lol.
I remember they did it for Halo Infinite, which is kind of funny to hear the announcer saying, “And now a special look at Halo Infinite.” They should take the upmost advantage.
My take is more about general Xbox marketing being bad, xCloud is a minor issue compared to other things. Even the usual Super Bowl genius marketing idea, it’s a mostly US thing, imagine seeing PS everywhere in Champions League, whose final has on average 2/3x viewership all over the world?
Fuck this year.
Ah yes… “insiders”
Yeah.
But he did give us Star Wars Eclipse before it was announced at TGA so… anything can happen I guess. Hope his info was completely wrong.
Sometimes I spend more time reading about games instead of actually playing them, should I pick up Bioshock on Nintendo Switch, sit down and actually try finishing the first game? I could never get too into Bioshock when I’ve tried it, but lately I’ve been itching for more singleplayer games.
Someone on resetera summed it up very well. Once one of these guys got something right they SUDDENLY have information of every other video game company of the world, like that dude had info on:
- Microsoft—apparently has more Xbox info than Jez stating that Avowed could not be showed this year, but the latest podcast Jez was firmly confident we will se it
- Sony—SOP rumors and there’s always SOP rumors so…
- Rockstar— Stuff about RDR.
- WB games---- Hogwarts legacy is “closer” than we think.
He’s just missing an acquisition rumor an he is all set to become a professional insider.
That’s true what you’re saying here.
Jez recently said this about Avowed?
He also said he just saw a little bit of combat and couldn’t grasp the total scale of the game when someone asked how big was gonna be, although he expects to have a similar scope to outer worlds.
Don’t worry so much about Avowed, we’re like 6-7 months away from a summer showcase. We were weeks before E3 last year hearing different things about whether it’d be shown or not.
yes
Oh wait, that was from his Avowed article, wasn’t it?
I’ll promise I’ll try
@Klobrille what 3rd party published game on Xbox do you highly recommend?
