Excuse my lack of Souls online knowledge, what does unfriendly mean in this exactly? PvP?

Seems like a bug of some sort. Two different users now showing it. Seems a bit like how some were affected with Fallout 4 back then but that was only like for a second.

But someone with a Xbox One X can join the XSX users? Also, one unfriendly? You mean a AI player by that?

hyped af. But man, she said “The Lands Between” more times than Jack said “Chaos” in the FF Origin trailer lmao

Didn’t Miles Morales, R&C and Returnal also have some bugs/glitches on release date? covid clearly hit everyone in the industry regardless of how polished their previous games were. :man_shrugging:

I am assuming that cross gen on the same ecosystem will work for online play also I am pretty sure that you could summon 3 other (white phantoms) players in DS3 so it’s strange that they paired back this for Elden Ring. Unfriendly is an invader and IIRC you could be invaded by two unfriendly spirits if you had the maximum players invited for co-op in DS3.

Weird that we don’t have more details on how co-op and pvp works (I don’t expect much more than the gankfest that DS3 was at this point), maybe they will address this in a new trailer focused on MP this week.

literally same lol.

same lol

Ok, each ROW

  • The Outer Worlds 2
  • Fable
  • Starfield
  • Avowed (this is so hard :sob: Ghostwire looking hella cool and fresh but Obsidian are just good man)
  • Wolfenstein 3

I cheated and put TES and Starfield on my list

Remember when some people thought that Sony was immune from the effects of Covid due to reasons.

Just watched this video, and don’t worry it’s not a troll or anything. It’s Amok4All.

He often has very good videos on HDR in gaming and things like that. I have to say I’m shocked by how rough FW looks most of the time here and compared to ZD and GoT like he says it indeed isn’t nearly as clean when it comes to picture quality. Much more shimmer/aliasing and also more fade in/pop in compared to ZD and GoT.

It’s just not great and this is on performance mode, it’s way cleaner in resolution mode. FH5 honestly looks way more cleaner, in performance mode. I didn’t expect this at all, it being GG.

Lol that GoT thumbnail just reminded me of John’s quote from DF regarding the Director’s Cut edition. It being a quick cashgrab or something (forgot the actual quote) since the graphical updates were very minimal.

The game in performance mode is rendered at 1600 x 1800 pixels which is then checkerboarded to 3200 x 1800

The 1600 x 1800 is just 80% of 2560 x 1440

So the native IQ is less then 1440p which is improved with CB to have improved IQ over it.

Ofcourse, the game will look rough compared to native 4k DRS

True, I guess I’m just shocked that it looks this rough. I now understand so well why John from DF went with resolution mode. I would have done the same.

I think this also speaks even more to Playground’s tech knowledge with FH5 performance mode, or not?

We are comparing apples to oranges here… Both games use different rendering techniques for performance mode and frame rate is capped.

What Playground do is straight up technical wizardry. Rendering and loading in those gorgeous, detailed, and big open worlds at 250 km/h on average and @60fps, and on HDDs…

Even more if you consider there is no noticeable graphical downgrade for co-op or multiplayer in FH5.
