It was said that Kena was a timed console exclusive but the duration was never stated. If I had to guess, I would say a year minimum.
FYQD Studio is still working on Xbox Series versions and implementing Ray Tracing. If I had to guess, im going to say November for Series X/S.
Those are game releases, NOT sales. The number is highly inflated due to the fact that the vast majority of Indie game never get a physical release and are digital only.
Was hoping for REmake4. No interest in SF VI. All the games im interested in are so far away.
Iām going with SF VI being multi-platform. If it was a full/timed console exclusive, it would debut on a Sony showcase. Not a random Monday.
Since Destin covers multiplatform games as well as mentioning PS5 games Iām posting this here and not the Studios thread.
Heās wondering what we can expect for this year besides Starfield, Stalker, Scorn and Redfall. He says MS had a fantastic Q4 last year with FH5 and Halo Infinite but now itās radio silence. He also mentions a few indie titles. Wants to know about when Avowed comes out, well good luck with that, lol.
Ask Dusk Falls which got a Korean rating, shouldnāt be too long, can we first have a proper reveal first? Now this isnāt exactly on MS/Xbox though, itās on the studio to do so.
I think when Microsoft finally establishes the pipeline, we will have more solid estimations regarding game releases. Because for now we all rely on E3 for that.
We wonāt know shit until E3 most likely, they are still behind Sony and Nintendo concerning the overall pipeline, XGS is still a new thing, it was born in 2018, then covid, Bethesda is literally the saving grace for 2022, AB will be a thing in 2024 at the earliestā¦imo they should have been covered the holes with 3rd party deals (exclusives and more marketing with prominent titles, if you look at them they mostly go with Sony or bust, Xbox usually get the duds, even when they shouldnāt be, like BF or Fallout or Cyberpunk), but they didnāt, so we can only wait.
If covid didnāt happen, Xbox would be on a death path honestly, the tragedy has been beneficial for Xbox, because it slowed Sony killer line-up for the 1st year and PS5 sales, which would have steamrolled Xbox, in the wake of PS4 gen on top of it. MS woke up late, 2018 was too close to 2020, if you think about it, we are still waiting for what happened then to materialize.
Xbox partnered with Dontnod for Tell me Why (which was really good imo, until the very end), and are now partnering with INTERIOR/NIGHT for As Dusk Falls, which is looking interestingly unqiue. They had Life Is Strange 2 close to day one on the service, at least from what I remember.
It seems episodic, interactive story games are something that does well in Game Pass. So Iād say Iād be surprised if they donāt partner with Telltale, or at least have their future games, or some of them, on the service DAY 1
Why dwell on bad things that didnāt happen and now canāt. So much of the conversation here is centered around potential future bad news as it is, bringing up the could been bad news is a pointless exercise in theoretical concern.
I think itās just a sad living to focus on the negatives, or worse, even possible future negatives. Even more so when itās around video games that are supposed to be entertainment.
There isnāt much Xbox-related to talk these days and maybe itās better because how bad CrossfireX is (and we come back to Xbox 3rd party deals, really underwhelming compared to Sony or Nintendo). XD
Things would be dire with a moneyhatted Starfield, Xbox would be dying without Covid, yep this is the stuff that every wants to read about. I donāt understand the point.
