Well at least I got the all clear to go back to work tomorrow after testing negative twice for the 'Cron so at least I won’t have be around this bullshit.
They kinda have a studio as they’re based in the former offices of Liverpool Studio. I know they’re a support team for third party games. I just have no idea what they could be helping out on. Maybe Jade’s new studio and game or those guys that formed their own studio after working on COD. Forget their name though.
Lol, aged like milk on a summer’s day.
That’s the same thing XGS publishing does. XD
Helping external devs publishing games directly by Xbox. There was a video for CrossfireX during X019, the world tour between Redmond-Finland (Remedy)-South Korea (Smilegate)
lmao
good article but damn uncle had put this down
I know. That’s why I said they’re a support team for third party games which is what Global Publishing does. Same shit.
Nothing is official, and even if they are trying to do this quietly you know there will be outrage and they will fold and give in.
Oh I fully expect a backtrack by end of the week after MVG’s video goes live tomorrow.
I’m just saying it’s that time of the year again for the Start of the Year Blunder.
IF this isn’t just a giant accidental somebody pressed the wrong switch or flag thingy that is.
“Blunder”, calm down.
Gaffe? Oversight? Botch? Slip-Up?
(Actually as somebody who wanted a Series S for emulation for old games on the go this is kind of pissing me off a tad. Until it’s officially confirmed the walked back that is. )
Ok, but them cutting off an illegal use of the product isn’t a blunder. It was an inevitability.
Emulation is that weird grey-area where it’s not technically illegal but it’s not technically legal either.
it does affect some of the other devs working on non-emulation stuff though.
Which is why I think it’s worth seeing what the actual situation going on is before getting so up in arms over it.
The only feature I want for VR is to get rid of the headset. It’s the only thing in the world I get motion sick from. They need to find a better way to do it. Something like they have in The Orville is what we need.
It’s just weird that Dev Mode has been a thing since VCR X1 and NOW they have a problem with it.
I really hope this is a gaffe because man I loved messing around with dev mode.
Weird that they would do away with dev mode. It’s one of the reasons why hackers don’t have nearly as much interest in cracking Xbox consoles. Why bother putting effort into running unsigned code when they give you that option? Obviously won’t effect most users but still a shame. Guess I better get to trying out the emulator while I can.
For me, that is tied heavily into the framerate. Once I got the quest 2 to 90hz or even better 120hz it was far better.
Dev mode was great and I actually learned some IT back messing around with Dev Mode and learned some crude rudimentary coding.
Ask anyone who’s taken on Nintendo how they feel about this.
Nintendo hates emulation so much they can’t even emulate their OWN games.
