Yeah this is about the same time they tried to up Gold’s price last year, isn’t it? I wonder how next year starts?

Well, that’s one way to respond to PSVR2 I guess.

Oh, I didn’t know it was something people paid for. Thought it was like a backdoor they closed, well that is not very nice then. Yikes

I mean this isn’t as something nearly as bad as a price hike during a pandemic, but it will vocally anger a very small subset of people who are gonna make alot of noise.

i guarantee to you even people who never paid for it and people doesn’t own xbox would jump on this

Oh for sure OtherERA and the trolls and maybe a few tech sites are gonna jump up in some asses tomorrow.

Probably a good day to stay offline heh.

I never used the dev mode. But I hope it’s not gonna affect any releases of indies currently in development especially with really small teams and solo devs. The pic is a game I’m highly looking forward to and if they have to delay it on Xbox because Xbox made a fucky wucky then I ain’t waiting on Xbox

It’s frustrating how often MIcrosoft OWN GOALS themselves over the smallest simplest things.

Sometimes it’s amazing and frustrating being an Xbox fan.

imma need to get a series x fast

Need to get the retail emulators downloaded before they mess with those too

Good, I hope they do, MS deserves to be called out for this

BTW There is a game dev license ?

You pay 25 bucks and you can turn any retail unit into a dev unit with access to the Xbox sandbox where you can sideload your own apps and other apps.

but isn’t this bad for actual devs ? it would add more hassle.

Its for devs that cant pay massive fees for proper dev kits

I think devs have actual made dev units.

I don’t know let’s see how this bullshit works out.

Sony has 20 studios total with a few of them being support studios. Microsoft has 22 studios and Global Publishing. Sony isn’t that far behind despite the fact that they haven’t acquired a publisher.

  1. Bend Studio (rumored to be working on Men In Black or Syphon Filter IP)
  2. Bluepoint Games (rumored to have two games in development, one being a new IP and one being a remake of an already owned Sony IP)
  3. Guerrilla Games (HFW releases in 6 weeks and the secondary team is working on an FPS)
  4. Housemarque (rumored to be working on expansion for Returnal which I don’t believe so my guess would be a new IP)
  5. Insomniac (Spider Man 2 and Wolverine)
  6. Naughty Dog (TLOUP2 MP, TLOU Remake and TLOUP3 are pretty much a given at this point)
  7. PixelOpus (developed Concrete Genie, working on a new IP rumored to have been elevated to AAA)
  8. Polyphony Digital (Gran Turismo 7)
  9. San Diego Studio (MLB The Show 22)
  10. Santa Monica Studio (GOWR and Barlog’s new game)
  11. Sucker Punch Productions (Tsushima is over 8m copies sold and will hit 10m before 2022 ends so my guess is Tsushima 2 or a new “Ghost of” game)
  12. Team Asobi (could be working on AstroBot 2 for PSVR 2 but my guess is that it would be playable on both PS5 and PSVR 2 ala Resident Evil VII)

Firesprite, London Studio and Valkyrie are more than likely to be Sony’s VR studios. No idea what’s going on with Media Molecule. Nixxes is their PC port studio. Malaysia Studio, San Mateo Studio and XDev are all support studios as far as I know.

Based on the above list, there’s over 15 games and who knows what else Sony is planning. Personally, with the exception of Bend Studio not working on Days Gone 2 which wasn’t green lit, I haven’t been disappointed yet with the games they’ve announced. So far, so good and Wolverine by Insomniac has me super hyped as all the rumors kept pointing to a Dr. Strange game. I’m obviously much more hyped for Wolverine. lol.

As a secondary exclusives only console, PlayStation 5 is looking like it’s going to blow away PlayStation 4, at least for me anyway. In general, it’s looking damn good.

Even if they were, those games have already been cancelled so it doesn’t matter. If Bethesda had any PSVR 2 games in development, im 100% certain that Sony would have announced them over a year ago.

This is like XGS publishing, it’s not a studio.
