XboxEra Community Hangout |OT5| Season of the Infinite.. Arguments

It’s funny how we all look at things differently.

I tend to approach things under the assumption that the folks behind the decisions are intelligent and try and understand why thing/reason results in an unexpected outcome. To some this is going to come across as making excuses or defending things.

Others seem to approach under the assumption that the decision makers don’t know what they are doing.

The reality is somewhere between, where they are mostly smart people but (in one example) can be out of touch with the customer perspective.

For all we know From could be asking for something absurd like 300m and it only just hits console GP not even PC. Microsoft can’t just give any amount because companies will take advantage of them which they probably are. I wouldn’t be shocked if this is the case for some games that aren’t hitting Xbox, they’re probably asking for absurd amount of cash because they know Microsoft is sitting on a ton.

You mean Phil and his team don’t storm the buildings and point guns to the execs and force them to sign GP deals??

Are the January game pass games dropping now? When did they drop a list?

Ubisoft is still my favorite publisher/developer and have been since Splinter Cell Conviction in 2010. Despite a few disappointments and some stupid decisions, they still give me great to excellent games on a consistent basis The only publisher that has been better than Ubisoft for me over the last decade plus has been Sony.

How it all goes in the future though, that just remains to be seen.

Yeah, im honestly not expecting a sequel for Deathloop or Ghostwire Tokyo for that matter. I believe that both are a one and done which to be perfectly honest, is exactly what im hoping for.

Yes!!! Really hoping for Dishonored 3 at some point this generation.

More like both Dishonored 3 and Shadowrun with a small team working on Redfall after it releases.

Fuck no!!! For as long as im gaming, I don’t want disc based games going anywhere.

Thankfully I have four multi-platform games and three PS5 full/timed exclusives for the first half of 2022.

Same as 2021 - Sony dominates the first half of the year while Microsoft dominates the second half of the year. Out of those three games, Redfall is the game im more interested in but wouldn’t be surprised if it gets delayed to 2023.

I’m expecting Stalker 2 to be a huge game and a great one too!!! And I did, the entire trilogy. Al three are great games and im already looking forward to Metro 4 as 4A Games confirmed it to have a fully voiced protagonist which im very happy about!!

I’m going with February/March for Halo Infinite’s first expansion.

I believe that Stalker 2 is going to be great. When you play Exodus, make sure you play the current generation version.

Agree completely. Crossfire X is 50/50 for me after impressions have been mixed.

Hahaha. Yep, I don’t give two shits what games are on Game Pass if they’re of no interest to me. It’s like, okay, whatever. And I don’t play on PC at all so that’s literally non-existent to me.

Agreed but I would be happy with Evil West and Wonderlands day one. Wouldn’t mind this at all.

I agree with 3 out of the 4 even though only Crossfire is of any interest to me. I think Paradise is going to be total and complete shit.

I don’t see MLB going on Game Pass again.

That’s what happens when there’s a DROUGHT!!! lmao

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

I agree with this in general but thus far, Xbox 360 still reigns supreme for me personally but I can definitely see this changing by the time 2024 rolls around.

This.

In fairness, there’s not really anything new to talk about.

Both Sony and Nintendo have a packed first half of 2022. Imagine if GOWR and BOTW 2 actually get released in the Fall, that would be one hell of a fucking year for both.

Outside of the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion for AC Valhalla in March, they don’t have anything until the Fall with Avatar so that’s not going to change anything.

Isn’t Rainbow 6 Extraction them?

I agree for Sony, less for Nintendo, I mean, let’s see the quality of new Pokémon (it’s not a guaranteed quantity) and if Kirby really releases in the first half, also Advance Wars is a minor project. They are objectively the less productive platform holder in 2021-22, I doubt Zelda will make the cut.

All I know is that I’m most likely backlogging until 11.11.22.

No multiplats interest you? It’s a massive year for multiplats.

Yeah if you wanna drop $60 everytime.

And they will sell as much or better than ps or xbox. That Nintendo brand power.

Not enough to be interested to buy Day 1 no. I’ll check out STALKER 2 though.

More like $85 here.

Starfield looks like the only game I would have gotten day 1 even if it wasn’t on Game Pass in 2022. I have a massive backlog with great games so it has to be pretty damn good, or very cheap (GP) for me to jump in day 1.

Have you gone full Game Pass and don’t buy anything else?

Oh shit!!! Completely forgot about RSE. That says a lot considering it releases in two weeks. lol

True. I do think Nintendo delays Zelda to 2023 but also end up releasing Super Mario Odyssey 2 in Fall 2023 matching 2017.

That massive backlog is finally paying off. lol

I do and I am. lol

Oh yeah, big time!

I do buy what I want to play but that doesnt mean I dont want Game Pass to pull in games Id rather save money on.

Only reason Im copping HFW was cause amazon gave me a coupon and Im snagging for $50 lol.

I bought Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for like $6… My plan for HFW too  Not being in a rush has its benefits.

Haha. The amount of money I spend on gaming each year varies as it depends on the year. For 2021 releases, I spent around $500. 2022 though will be over $1000 unless a bunch of games get delayed to 2023. Depends on how many games I want to buy and play actually get released.

I’m definitely expecting an expensive year for 2022. lol

HFW will cost me $70 but after trading it in, will be $35 at most which for me is basically a steal.
