Speaking of Remedy, I bought Control UE on sale and it’s good. Not better than Quantum Break as I suspected, also cinematics are worse, they clearly lacked MS funds for actors and production. The metroidvania structure is cool, even if it’s not Hollow Knight level, it’s an action game at the end of the day. The story is incomprehensible for now, lol.

I really was looking forward to those dlc on next gen and then It was a separate sku and no way to transfer files so I wasted money on it and never bothered to play.

I had to get a guide man

My first horror game on Xbox.

Was a horror alright

Horror to get through this part lmao

I actually installed Control UE earlier today as im planning on playing it later this month as I didn’t finish it when I played it on PS4 two years ago. I went about two thirds through the game and I can agree that the story and characters is better in Quantum Break but I do think that the combat and gameplay is better in Control. Visuals and audio can go either way.

I remember that. I simply maxed out the brightness on my TV at the time which shows you the line and thus, the path. lol

New video from Matty for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. I was already very interested before and now, even more so.

Here we go lol

???

I’m waiting for discussion of the timed exclusive to come up

Oh. Outside of the beginning, he doesn’t mention it. He’s too hyped for the game which you can clearly see. Best news for me is that the combat definitely appears to be action real time oriented and added speculation by Matty is that if there is any turn based combat, it will be similar to FF7R which is great because I played that and the combat/gameplay was the best part of the game.

Finished Aliens Fireteam Elite, definitely a gamepass type of game. Deep Rock Galactic next !

Yeah, that’s stupid, but 505 is a bad publisher.

For now I’m not really even listening to dialogues, lol, the janitor is the classic cryptic guy and the blonde woman who sends you here and there is clearly lying/witholding things, like your character herself, lol, they are all telling an incomplete story. The metroidvania structure is certainly cooler than the linear one of QB, gameplay-wise IDK, for now the weapon seems too OP, the human enemies are almost a 1:1 with the QB ones and the superpowers are variants of the temporal distortions (which I found cooler than these ones). It is CLEARLY a repurposed sequel with less budget, maybe after MS canned QB 2.

The jump in stock price is only because shareholders are delighted by the possibilty of exploit gamers even more, but it’s not grounded in reality. I’m expecting a colossal failure from all publishers which will try to gouge us with NFT.

It really reminds me of when Nintendo’s stock went down after they revealed the Switch. There were people that thought Nintendo was clueless about what gamers wanted.

I mean, that wasn’t a hilarious thought, they historically got right one console and botched another one after golden days of NES/SNES:

_ N64: middling at best, they lost console hegemony to PS, selling better than Saturn was not really a success

_ Gamecube: they sold even less than the newcomer Xbox, which even arrived later than all platform holders

_ Wii: incredible success, but its route towards casuals lead to on a hugely sold console, but a not much actively played one (I remember statistics which said a huge chunks of consoles were sold only for fitness games and never used)

_ WiiU: a disaster worse than X1, which is emblematic (and part of the reason PS4 had so much success, its two rivals were dead before arrival)

_ Switch: incredible success with no * like Wii, except maybe that its numbers are inflated by the end of the Nintendo handhelds, so that public fully went to Switch

Success is never guaranteed, look at the PS3 disaster after PS2.

I wasn’t talking about the stock price, that’s just a combination of factors. It’s more SE thinks that more people will play to ā€˜contribute’ instead of playing to have fun.
