So I saw this over there and did some digging.
Iām sure @Knottian can explain it better either here or over in the acquisition thread when it inedibility gets posted over there, but itās MarisanpanGaming and I donāt think ābeing an investorā makes you an expert.
Literally the āBluepoint is working on Multiple Metal Gear remakes and Sony Japan Silent Hill is realā guy.
Not even OtherERA is taking it seriously.
Also the entire article is speculation from him.

From 2018 through 2020, we were told how bad acquisitions for the industry, and now as 2021 wraps up, certain fans are tripping over themselves saying āNo, PlayStation has 19 billion for acquisitions. Sonyās gonna buy a publisher, hereās the studios Sonyās gonna buy, give us more Studios! More!ā

And I believe the recent acquisitions are also included in that budget. Originally they allocated around 18b right? With multiple studio purchases and anime and so on they probably spend around 5b already.

I am an investor in Microsoft and own 20 shares, and I can say that I and a group of investors that Microsoft intends to spend all the money it owns in the coming years
People have to use logic , How is it possible for a company that could not compete with Tencent for the acquisition of Leyou, which cost only 1.5 billion, they believe that Sony will spend 13-18 billion?

i donāt think itās āimpossibleā for them to acquire Square. i still think itās an unlikely scenario, butā¦ 
Square Enix is a multinational and multi industry company they arent getting bought.

It would suck but wouldnāt be the end of the world. The games becoming timed exclusives for God knows how long keep increasing, the RPGs like FF especially but also things like Babylonās Fall and Iām sure thereās more.
Xbox buys CD from them with Tomb Raider and the rest goes to Sony. 
Obviously Xbox would miss out on some big non Japanese stuff too, but they would manage. But neither I see this happening.

Square isnāt getting bought for the simple fact that they donāt need to buy it, any game that Sony wants exclusivity, Square will make it for them.
They have the benefits without buying them.

If you were someone sick of hearing about Playstations weaknessā compared to Xbox, this seems like exactly the angle you would want to push as a counterpoint
So yeah, heās probably full of shit again
And imagine with Discord purchase MS could provide those features in chat groups and so on.
