I mean, just for context, Lost Odyssey ended up selling more than a million copies too, and that was on an Xbox 360. The game still isn’t on pc.
Japanese games have become a lot more popular, global and seeking multiplat over the years, at least the smart publishers have. Tales of Arise is dominating steam. P4G dominated steam, so did P5S. When P5R releases, it shall do the same.
An Xbox first party JRPG of similar quality if not better shall do a lot better today on Xbox+PC than just a plastic box from over a decade ago. Xbox should pursue first party JRPGs again, no question about it.
I’d argue that LO numbers were already good, that was a MS which expected instant FF success level for a new IP, it was a dumb forecast like the SE of todays. XD
A game of that franchise man, a lot of potential. Combat wise we don’t have many games like that nowadays. It would be a little like Sleeping Dogs or even Stranglehold with amazing locations and so on. Which studio though…would have to be one outside of XGS.
I’m sorry but the amount of Xbox fans that are literally beefing Splitgate on a tweet which was meant to trigger a fan base as a joke is actually fucking hilarious. You would have thought Splitgate punched their baby for goodness sake
i’m pretty sure the Arkham remasters pump up those games to 60fps but it’s at like 900p resolution on the chunky Xbox one. Pretty sure the one X ran it at 60 but not 4k.
Mooncrash is a almost a standalone game, it’s a rogue-lite take on the immersive sim genre. I never would’ve thought that those two genres could mix so good together, it takes the emergent and creative gameplay of Prey into a whole different level due to the random aspect of the game. If such a mix sounds interesting give it a second try and if you like that also play Void Bastards which is another very good rogue-lite immersive sim!
I guess Sony using connections like this is how they’re gonna get RE4, DD2 and other games supposedly as timed and/or full exclusives for Capcom.
I know the leak says that many of the games are multiplatform, but money pants changes things.
I saw another Reddit rumor about how several Capcom games are now timed/full PS5 exclusive, I brushed it off as fanboy nonsense, but really it wouldn’t surprise me if Sony does use this guy to buy a few exclusives.
That RE8 stream was basically a Sony circle jerk (for a game that basically ran the same if not slight better on Series X). Plus the RE4 symbol in the video from the showcase, maybe who knows?
Hmm, you initially presented this as something unwaranted. Then I see it was the game’s social media itself that took the shot? I mean I’m sure there are responses that are dumb and take things too far but…what the hell did they expect
