He should have worded that differently, because in this video he also covers a guy on Twitter that does nothing but shit posts and is proud of it. He trashed GoW.
So I think he means games for both platforms got trashed. You clicked the video away too soon but it actually is one of the better videos. Destin shows tweets by actual devs that replied to the ridiculous comments about Redfall and they posted pictures of games like HZD, Destiny etc in early stages or just in development.
He applauded this because this shows Twitter isn’t always non stop full of idiots, there’s sensible folks too and apparently plenty of people in general went against these shitposts too. Destin later shows a tweet from Rod Fergusson when he showed what a difference one month can make with a Gears comparison pic.
In the Xbox thread I posted some of these pictures of games in early stages, it’s crazy how some of those look, wow.

I understand what he wants to say and actually shows good things, the problem that I’m completely through with, is that people can’t talk bad toxic Sony fanboys without including Xbox ones.
I know that there are toxic Xbox fanboys, but this whole thing with Redfall was caused by the Sony troupe and there’s absolutely no need to start the video appeasing these people.
“See, Sony fanboys are being toxic, but Xbox fanboys…” This was caused by ONE toxic fanbase at first and I’m tired of seeing people trying to downplay it.

I just had someone tell me that the metas for psyconaughts 2 flight sim and deathloop don’t matter because nobody is playing them. Someone I know I. Real life who is a hardcore Sony loyalist. Trolls bever bother me but if it’s a real life troll man it really bugged me

Npd. I pointed out Returnal and explained lots of people play call of duty. Doesn’t make it the best game. It was annoying. Friends and I were talking about deathloop and he just jumped in being annoying
npd also doesn’t give you the whole story on who is playing what games, its actually a very poor metric for showing gaming engagment

Forgot to mention but I finished It Takes Two with the Mrs on stream not too long ago and that game is up in my top 5 of the year. Fantastic game, well worth the normal price but it goes on sale often now. Might hit EA Play sometime in the near future as well.

Tales of Arise has now sold over 1 million in under a week. I think this goes to show that JRPGs ain’t dead. Far from it. Definitely think there would be good money in XGS funding a AAA JRPG.

I think the games success shall delay its entering EA play vault for a good while, a minimum of a year. JFO took like 10 or 11 months I think, and EA play had just partnered with gamepass at the time, so there was some pressure from the community to get the best EA game at the time onto the service before holiday and it happened. I think It Takes Two will take at least six more months to come to EA play. But hey, I’d love to be wrong, the game is phenomenal and deserves a lot more success.
