In order to launch on Gamepass all Microsoft needs to do is show them how much money they might make releasing the game as normal vs. how much money they could make by + the kickback Microsoft pays them.

We would have more AAA third party games launching into GP day 1 if this was the case (This all Pre E3 speculation which could be subject to change).

IMO gamepass is currently limited by its budget. The reason we haven’t seen any AAA third party games day one before Outriders and MLB is because the number of subscribers and revenue wasn’t large enough to support that kind of expenditure. Now it is.

As gamepass numbers continue to grow the size and boldness of the 3rd party launch games will also grow. Microsoft only needs 5 or 6 key titles a year to make a large difference. Imagine in 3 years…when Gamepass is in the 75m range… Battlefield, Assassins Creed and Madden all launch on gamepass. How loyal is a playstation fan then?

It’s worth adding to the discussion! If a game like SN isn’t coming Day 1 to GamePass, (after playing the Demo it REALLY needs it), then I think it’s best to temper our expectation that larger 3rd Party AAA games might not be coming Day 1 as well.

I’m now tempering my expectations on 3rd Party AAA New Games Day 1 until after Sunday.

The only thing that makes me believe BF isn’t completely of the table is the fact that the didn’t deny it. CDPR did it with Cyberpunk and now Bandai with Scarlet Nexus but I’m also not saying it will happen for sure. We will just have to wait and see.

The game hasn’t even been revealed yet.

Scarlet Nexus was denied this morning (they could be BSing) and that game comes out like in a week or two.

Battlefield hasnt been revealed officially and its a double digit selling franchise so I find it hard to believe that EA would take whatever check Xbox gives them over a full $60 sale in a year where COD points to be a disaster.

Unless this BF reveal and road to launch is BFV level bad I dont think EA will put it on GP (Speculation and could change post Sunday).

True after all these leaks I forgot it wasn’t even revealed yet haha. I’m not expecting it for now but I do think we will see big Third Party Gamepass games.

They just said a fall shooter.

We just assumed BF6 because.

It could easily be Back4Blood which is a AA MTX based shooter as it comes.

Even then I wouldn’t expect that either.
