Can we have a rule here about bringing up articles that are made clealry by someone who refuses to understand that xbox is clearly in a better position within their own ecosystem that even the likes of playstation are gonna make ports for it? Cause i lose more brain cells seeing this sort fanboy behavior.
Also this makes it me think Xbox might genuiely blacklist gamespot if this continues to be something holy untrue in any way possible. Kinda like how Valve blacklisted Insidergaming’s Tom warren or even Nintendo doing the same towards polygon.
Annoys me knowing people get paid to write this shit. Game magazines were far from perfect but there was genuine passion for the hobby behind most of it. Everything now is fanboy clickbait nonsense, cynical garbage that isn’t even remotely interested in informing the reader.
Meanwhile we have games/purchases on our Xbox accounts that go back to the 360 that are fuckin’ playable on our Series consoles while I have games stuck on my zombie 60gb PS3 and let’s not even start talking about the Virtual Console…but yeah investing on the Xbox ecosystem is risky. lol
Investing on Xbox has been one of the consistently positive things about the platform (due to the amazing work that MS has done with backwards compatibility) so at least they should get their facts straight before writing this clickbait crap. But as @Joe_Sinister1 and @Haven already said articles like this one are pure trash without any effort put into them or with any real value.
Might be more one for the deals thread although unsure if that’s just Xbox, but on PC Humble has a WB bundle - just over £10 for Gotham Knights, Suicide Squad, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Left 4 Dead, their LOTR games and Batman games:
I will play both the new Call of Duty game and Battlefield 6 so yeah, even if I’m really excited for BF 6 and it’s finally going to compete with COD in the modern shooter space, COD will still get that casual crowd rallying behind it.
Battlefield games are not pick up and play, there’s quite some depth in the gameplay if you want to compete or get decent at the game, so it won’t be for everyone, let’s be honest. It will still be interesting to see if BF 6 manage to get some of the COD crowd back, as the more tactical shooter genre is getting a lot of attention these days, so who knows ! Exciting times !
Lol I do know it’s pretty crap from my partner - I have to charge my packs (or replace the AA batteries before them) about once a month even when gaming quite a bit.
My partner charges their DualSense every day, sticking it on a charging dock every night - simply to ensure if they’re playing a long session and using all the features it’ll last, and on a weekend it often has to go back on charge at lunchtime and dinnertime if it’s an all day gaming binge as sometimes it can be as bad as 4 to 6 hours!
Right - The factors or issues that actually might make investing in the ecosystem risky are:
There won’t be another Xbox console - We already know there will be
Xbox would somehow take away or prevent you from downloading games you already own, on current or future systems - Xbox has an equal or better track record than the competition if anything
Future consoles aren’t BC. - We’ll see, but again, so far Xbox has a better track record than the competition
So layoffs do suck, Perfect Dark getting cancelled sucks, Turn 10 downsizing sucks, etc. - You’re not going to hear me argue that those things don’t reflect poorly on Xbox. But they have nothing to do with the headline of the article.
Heck YEAAH! made more progress in Wuchang, fought my boss demon and The Reborn.
My boss demon wasn’t too tough, the ability to just mash away and heal from the axe line is just really good. Throw in all the stagger and she barely had time to do much damage, but she did get close.
The Reborn though, he was pretty much the same as wild tiger, a two-stage boss with a second full health bar. Now the big issue, that came from this is as always, I needed to learn the first stage moves to a point I have enough heals for the second stage. It took a lot of trying but I got him, I got good enough that I would generally have 10 out of 12 manna vials in my inventory. The tough asshole was just as much as an asshole as all the big enemies I have fought in the game, and it was a battle all the way to the finish.
Interesting to see old games becoming XPA. I think more games should do this. I remember RE2 did this and it was really cool of them to do that. More devs should follow, especially if they believe Xbox Ally potential, let alone PC itself.
I had assumed games that exist on Xbox and the PC MS store with a native version each couldn’t get made PA. If they can then I’d love to see Microsoft do the same for their own massive library of games on both platforms.
