Anyone getting Mafia ToC on day one?

I was going to, that is until I went “crazy” on the recent sales. I got more than enough to keep me busy.

Yep got it pre-ordered as loved the original games and wanted to reward having a decent lower price RRP (I admit though I got it at 20% off on Cdkeys but think there’s a pre-order discount on many platforms).

I very, very rarely pre-order so it’s an unusual one but I know I’ll want to play it and seen a few games recently where they had a better discount before launch than the next 6 months so I’ve often had to bite the bullet and pay more, or wait when I don’t want to lol.

Looking forward to it

Nah, I’ll go with Helldivers 2 as my day one purchase this month and will pick up Mafia in a month or 2, as I can’t see myself booting it up straight away. Too much stuff to play.

The visuals look rough. Looks like lot of artifacts due to upscaling

I have it pre-ordered from Best Buy but they’re not shipping it out until tomorrow (smh) but since im working through Monday starting tomorrow, it doesn’t matter much as I won’t be playing it until Tuesday.

Looking forward to playing it.

So a new rumor dropped for Xbox Ally. It appears to be released on October 16. I think it’s a right time with like 3 first party titles dropping within the month and then CoD, which is a bigger deal. All they have to do is sell it.

With the recent news of Sony maybe going multiplatform or even just day 1 PC ports, I could see this being a strength for the new Xbox especially if they are going for a console/pc hybrid.

I guess Sony might be doing thesame thing Xbox is doing as in maybe the PC store thing, maybe even integrating stores like Xbox. I do think their multiplatform strategy is obviously not just live games like some said but more the whole slate or a good chunk of it.

Look at that, right again. There are quite a few that owe me, and some of you all, an apology for… being able to understand the most basic of business strategies in the modern era.

Hell… there are some now-conveniently absent posters that swore this day would never happen… or Lego Horizon… or Helldivers 2… or Marathon… or well, you get the point. The fact is, the market has already changed, and people trying to bring back a dead market are incapable of recognizing that the entire world is different than it was, even five years ago.

The new talking point im now seeing is it’s ok for Sony to be multiplat because their hardware is successful and it makes sense but Xbox is only multiplat because their doomed and going out of business lmao

We are, quite literally, in the dumbest of timelines….

All that actually matters, is that this is good for gamers.

I’ve been surprised at the lack of Playstation-PC integration. Obviously Sony are not as entwined with Windows as… Microsoft… but if there was a PS app for my PC I’d happily use it.

The fans will cling to something. It’s not enough to enjoy games on a console you like, it has to be the best at something.

One lesson: grow up.

(I took a very rare glimpse at IGN and Eurogamer today, and noticed both feature ‘best’ polls halfway down articles etc. Engagement farming, sure, but also this mentality is baked-in deep)

@Doncabesa Perhaps this will be easier for you to reach 100%.
