From the reporting it seems to be the case, but we would have to wait for the update to be sure.
The first showing at the Xbox showcase was a CGI cinematic. Don’t know why anyone would be hyped or disappointed with that when it’s nothing more than a reveal trailer.
The visuals, art style, combat, gameplay, exploration, story, characters, choice and consequences and decisions that have to be made all sound great to me. And with a month to go, none of this is changing so im personally still hyped.
But again, I can see why people aren’t into it.
If that is the case it is extremely degrading the service.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has done similar things in the past. I remember Jez had made an article complaining about Microsoft removing a feature on Windows that he used, but their data said that not many people use it.
So if not to many people use the app to play on Android it’s likely they will remove the feature.

It’s probably due to having a store in main Xbox app. Apple and Google are difficult to work with when it comes to streaming and purchasing games in a single app.
Before people start freaking out and blaming Xbox as usual, I highly advise you all do some research on why the apps were separate to begin with, and the subsequent rules for apps that serve multiple functions and/or act as stores (literally see the Apple v Xbox store app from five years ago). This is purely an Apple knock-on effect, but I know some of you jump to the ‘Pitchfork crowd’ without doing any due diligence so
