I had completely forgotten that was a thing.
Aight, can this weather get back to normal please? Jesus christ. Even my mobile AC has trouble working against it.
I hate when summers get like this.
And she isnât a fan either
Is Black Ops 7 going to be available on Xbox One? A friend is asking and I canât find answers anywhere, on the Xbox website it says âXbox consoleâ and that could mean anything.
This year, yes. Next years CoD is rumored to not be on ps4/xbox one
I get why theyâre doing it but I simply canât get behind MS phasing out physical games. The notion that if I want to buy a physical copy of the next Halo and Gears I would need to buy the Playstation copy will never sit right with me. Wish theyâd have worked something out with Limited Run for Ninja Gaiden 4 and TOW2.
Playstation is gonna do the exact same thing, just watch and they will be praised by the sensasitionlist social media warriors as a good thing, i mean look at nintendo for crying out loud.
I kinda hate the fact that people think its just xbox doing this when in fact the other two are doing it as well, its just not being seen by the more casual member.
After we literally just watched Nintendo give every developer and publisher a pass that effectively kills physical ownership even with physical media with the Game Key bullshit, no lessâŚ
Lament the end of physical all you want, but pretending like Xbox is the only one, is disingenuous⌠especially when you have the king of software sales effectively killing it.
Notably, they will kept selling disks till then end, so their âloyalâ physical games media fans will get completely fucked as they will have 0 games playable when they do finally cut the cord. This move by MS is far more user friendly.
Yeah thatâs a pet peeve of mine, that gets a lot of fuel from the PS fanboys behind Does It Play. Itâs like a religious doctrine at this point that evil Xbox is the one taking away your physical games, anything Nintendo or Sony does gets ignored or explained away.
There was no such backlash, at least from what I remember, when it happened on PC and I really donât understand why itâs a thing now with console games. Music sales have declined to the point of being almost irrelevant, Blu-Rays have almost no space left in department stores. Itâs only normal I think that the same will happen for gaming.
Funny, because Nintendo is actually pushing it hard on digital. They released a tutorial on purchasing digital games. NIS publisher actually said that their games will be on game card because itâs a growing trend. If anything, Nintendo is the worst one to do the push. Theyâre the leader worldwide and when one sees the leaderâs action, all will follow.
The cards are kind of like MS tried to do with Xbox One. No content on it, basically just a key, but you can resell it later on unlike digital games. Digital Key cards bought on the eshop can be shared with family members.
So it still gives the appearance of supporting physical games, at least for the time being. And I wouldnât be surprised that a big part as to why they wonât fully go digital is for that visibility in stores which you donât get it you donât sell physical games.
What is the same thing that PlayStation and Nintendo do as Xbox?
Pushing digital over physical, because the percentage of people that buy digital is going up with Xbox being about 90% and Playstation being about 75%.
Edit: the new cards that can be bought fir the Switch 2 is Nintendoâs push.
So they are doing nothing compared to Xbox, because I asked for examples, not percentages. Do PlayStation or Nintendo not release physical copies for their first-party or published games?

Mafia 2.
Despite some bugs that really shouldnât be in a DE this is still a great game. It reminds me once again that these Mafia games do certain stuff better than GTA games.
I genuinely hope Rockstar took some notes from these games for GTA VI, especially car mechanics. Driving in the Mafia games feels good, to me it just doesnât in GTA V.
Man, I want the new one to be good.
Be that as it may, as of now I only play on Xbox , and at the moment many games are still physical for consoles other than the one I primarily game on. When it comes to third parties not putting physical games on xbox it is what it is⌠but first party games not being available is not good at all. They could have at the very least rode out the rest of this gen since they have a console that still supports physical media right now. Thatâs all Iâm saying.
