For me, Remake was an 8.5/10 on PS4 Pro as I really enjoyed it for the most part. Story itself is the weakest aspect of the game because of those spirits they added in and the fact that it’s not a complete story. FF XVI was an 8.5/10 as I really enjoyed the story and characters. Really did feel like Game of Thrones at time which is a huge positive for me since I really enjoyed that series. Rebirth was a 9.0/10 for me. I enjoyed everything with my only major negative being that while I did almost all of it, the side content is mediocre at best. Rebirth is in my top 20 (out of 60+ completed games), maybe higher seeing as how I don’t give many 9+ ratings.
There’s always going to be games that are better than other games. This is a given. Of course, I never truly played FF until Remake so im biased towards them as they’re almost exactly what I wanted them to be. For XVI though, I wish the combat system was better and more in depth instead of being just a button mashing hack and slash.
It’s weird and maybe telling but willing to bet they will use “time has changed” excuse. What I’m referring to is the showcase content. Xbox before 2018 or even that got bashed for presenting 3rd party titles, many of which are really good, but lack of first party was notable, so the show sucked. Now it’s perfectly fine.
I’m going to heavily assumed that the crowd in SGF shows are ranged from casual to hardcore. I mean they can announce a $80 mobile game with microtransaction heavy and someone will still go “Woo!” I mean good for you to be hyped. Just curious.
Nate and Jason ruined the possibilities with the mention of FF Tactics and Nioh 3. It’s why I saw them coming. RE9 is the same but I thought it would be at Sony’s. I guess they lost the marketing right.
Would be nice if Arc Sys and MS announce a XBox/PC exclusive fighter called Transformers Tokon. With G1 Transformers battling it out in 4v4 tag matches.
Tried out the recluse/mage in Nightreing to see if my thoughts on her fighting style were right and yeah that’s definitely the fighting style. It also works well enough that I made it just as far as I did with the barbarian guy on solo, one thing I did learn is that she can mix different elements to make her forth casting of fp restoration do different damage types.
Finished rewatching the last year’s SGF. Oof. I forgot that it was rough. The ads, the interviews, and drags, and overhype. I remember the year before it was a lot better. The opening and closing in compare is night and day. It’s crazy. I hope this year is a lot better before people begin to panic.
It’s going to be on PC. Also, who knows maybe this Xbox partnered handheld will take off and they will certainly have them. I must say though a transformers anime looking fighting game would be nice, but ASW does seem to be involved in a lot of games.
Jokingly (of course), imagine if the showcase sucked and he’s there with everyone staring at him as he say, “Well…what does everyone thinks? Pretty cool huh?” Then proceed for a beat down. Again, it’s a joke and it’s mixed reference to The Simpsons with Poochie.
