Phil knew how to answer the question without answering and “getting in trouble.”
EXACTLY 1 year since PS5 release.
Yeah, I’ve on the “Believe Xbox” camp since day one given literally every instance of this from Sony over the last 30 years. You had to be willfully ignorant or completely media-illiterate to think another previously-multiplatform game suddenly becoming Sony-exclusive just… happened. I never bought the Series S complaint because I’ve literally seen far more optimized and arguably-better performing games run perfectly fine on my Series S; Starfield being a perfect example.
Might be just me but companies who partake in this exclusivity/timed exclusivity stuff will never see a dollar from me, can’t support that stuff and these guys were especially slimy with their vague bs.
Q: Why did it take so long to bring the game to Xbox, and what can I expect now?
A: Bringing Black Myth: Wukong to Xbox Series X|S—and ensuring the experience met our internal quality standards—was no easy feat. Fortunately, we were able to complete this challenging task smoothly within the first year of the game’s official release.
If you’re an Xbox player who hasn’t yet experienced the game on another platform, we’re confident it will stand among the finest ARPGs available on Xbox.
And they continue to lie to everyone’s face lol.
“It just so happens to land on the very day of our first anniversary. How crazy!”
I can’t see the tweet and I need to reactivate my account on X to see it, not doing that.
But does this mean Wukong is finally coming to Xbox? Because I see it being mentioned here.
FF16 and maybe also 7R would be very welcome in a short announcement. Let’s hope it’s finally happening because sheesh, it’s only been a gazillion years.
Yes, and it’s releasing exactly one year to the date of it’s original release. It was totally the Series S that caused the delay though, not any sort of timed exclusivity. Nope, totally the Series S that held the game back for exactly one year.
Exactly one year for the devs to get used to Series S, lol, yeah. It’s fishy alright.
Still though, why didn’t Sony scream it off the rooftops that they have exclusivity?
B..buh but the Series S!! The timing is hilarious.
Cool news!
Do they ever do that? It’s more effective to make it look like MS’s fault and it works pretty much every time.

It should appear despite not having X.
Maybe it will happen at the show, though today will be fine too.
Some clowns (well the usual suspects really) at otherera are still playing dumb and at this point trolling. lol
Also I am not giving any money on this shitty dev team and their overrated game, definitely not rewarding their shady crap. They got their “support” from Sony so I doubt they need support from the Xbox fanbase right? there are so many other much better games/studios to support out there.
The best I can say is Series S could be a problem to them, but not the main cause. Like if there was no timed deal, this would have been out like at least late last year. Not to mention, how Phil knew when it’s coming but can’t say because of deal.
I still find it funny that there was any doubt. I mean it’s only how Sony has done business since they entered the console space. Not sure why they needed to lie and throw the S under the bus either. Even now on other forums people still trashing the S. Crazy how the gaming media and console war grifters on Youtube managed to convince a generation of gamers that the S is holding gaming back because it forces developers to “checks notes” optimize their games to run on certain hardware ( in the age of PC gaming existing .)
1 year of gaslighting and it still continues if i look at the quote in @euV2 post.
Disgusting. Just be honest.
I feel sad for the Xbox series s
Each year into the gen shows that the console is sustainable, that there is enough power beside optimisation effort
People like to throw false information about this console
That it’s slowing down the next gen, while we had a lot of cross gen and having a lot of remasters
That it’s not be able to hold up the next gen games, which, at least until now, is false
Thanks to the Xbox series s every console/pc consumers benefits better performance because Devs have to make effort for optimisation
Even recently we had numerous example of people/journalist/influencer saying that the switch 2 will probably have better performance or same performance because of better techno… Which has been proven to be completely false
I feel sad because, in 2028, the little console will end up having 90% of the ps5 catalog and no journalist will gives excuse for trash talking about the affordable option that has been made
It’s proof that that console preference is entrenched and no amount of making the right choices could ever put Xbox ahead. How often do we hear about inflation, people not being able to afford games, cost is the biggest issue. Constantly. And here’s the Series S and Game Pass with the solution on a silver platter, but the media and gamers collectively answered that they don’t want it unless it says Sony on the box.
As for Wukong, those who’ve played/finished it on PC/PS5…
I was very excited when they showed the first gameplay, but the more newer footage I saw and the lack of visible reactions from enemies when you hit them really put me off. Plus I saw boss fights lasting overly long with a crazy long health bar while the player could get almost one shotted at times.
So my question is, have they patched that since or is it truly still like that? Because I’m not sure I have that kind of patience anymore.
If Sony had the Series S and Xbox didn’t, Sony would be lauded and anointed as the patron saint of gamers everywhere and it would be the hardcore Xbox weirdos complaining that Sony was holding back the gen.
