Good! I am happy to hear that. Doesnāt sound too bad. And as for anime, I love anime and CR so far has been fine for me, no issues. But if it does get worse or whatsoever, I can always cancel and find other ways.
Iād still be excited but man, the combat hasnāt aged super great in that. Itās still doable though but I am hoping they did āfixā it a little.
By the time it releases, it will be close to 20 years after the original release. I hope Virtuos is really remaking the game because I donāt see how the gameplay/combat from that long ago is going to hold up to todayās standards. Guess we just have to wait and see.
I mean, itās a bit overdue, like 26 years butā¦better late, than never!
Also, this is my GOTY. I donāt care what the ārulesā are with that, this game I started playing this year and itās the best I played this year. What an experience and what a timeless game really.
Congratulations!! I still consider OoT in my top three for the greatest Zelda - I like BotW but it doesnāt touch OoT, LttP, or Twilight Princess as a Zelda game imo - and you can trace decades of games that have borrowed so many elements from it; was truly a groundbreaking game when it came out.
Whoa, Twilight Princess is that good? Itās a game Iāve barely played, like just briefly the prologue. Majoraās Mask is another one Iāve never played, but hearing from friends about how it has a timer has me a bit reluctant. Still, I will check that out. Plus the handheld games that should be on Nintendo Switch Online too.
Majoraās Mask is up there for me as well; it was such an experiment for Nintendo, and its themes were far more mature and impactful than most of the games up to that point. Itās considerably darker thematically and I appreciated that a lot. Donāt let the 3 day element scare you, it greatly increases replayability and the way the systems around side quests, charactersā daily agendas, etc. really heightened the experience for me - I think I still have my N64 save with all the masks, which was a struggle.
As for Twilight Princess, I felt a lot the same way about it as I did MM, given its darker themes of loss and helplessness. I would say Twilight Princess is, imho, the perfect embodiment of the type of Zelda game OoT started, both in its progression and approach to the world, especially where the locations feel like legitimate places and not obligatory town or dungeon archetypes/pastiche. The wolf mechanics brought new life to the series as well, and I think when combined with the variety of other gameplay elements, makes it easily one of the strongest in the series. Plus, its art style and music are really special.
MM is probably going to be my next one then, because I am still very much in the mood for more Zelda. Also, Nintendo Switch Online has this feature that letās you save anywhere, save states and if I encounter anything ābadā or annoying in MM this feature should help, not ashamed to admit I used it quite a bit in OOT.
What you said about TP sounds great and here I thought Nintendo had actually brought a remaster of that to Switch, but I was confusing it with Skyward Sword, what a shame. Itās still stuck on Cube and Wii? Both systems I donāt have anymore. Nintendo loves their remasters, but TP is missing in action.
I also have the Wii U version, and highly recommend it, if you happen to have the console. Both it and Wind Waker HD are fantastic⦠and both stuck on Wii U where only 12 of us played itā¦
I finished the remake of Zelda OOT on 2DS, so I wonāt judge anyone playing this masterpiece this late. I still have fond memories of seeing it palyed for the first time by a friend on N64 on a 4/3 TV screen. This game felt out of this world when it launched. It was one of the first fully āopen worldā fantasy game. It was magical. We are so spoiled now.
