I think this rumor is false. It doesnât make sense not to announce the game at the game awards if the Developerâs Direct is this soon . It wouldâve been better to announce to a larger audience
I want you to be so damn wrong there!!!
But you have a point.
You mean like Indiana Jones show its debut gameplay after feeling like vaporware?
Pardon me, I donât understand this post
Indiana Jones was said to show up on VGA because itâs been ages since we last seen it. After it missed the date, we thought Showcase in June would be right. Then DD announce out of nowhere IJ will appear in full gameplay.
Itâs not a full up remake, itâs UE5 on top of the old engine likely keeping everything the same except the graphics. Donât think thatâs necessarily a TGA announcement.
That said, its likely coming next year so theyâll announce it sometime soon.
gotcha, good point. I forgot about that. So, maybe it is possible
I think itâs still worthy of an announcement due to it being the first non-skyrim mp game theyâve made in awhile. Plus, if itâs launching day one everywhere, then I think itâs a major announcement for the TGAs
Iâm pretty convinced the âleakersâ are just latching on to NateDrakeâs recent re-confirmation about the project existing just a few days before these tweets. It may not even make an appearance until the Showcase or Summer Games Show.
Yeah, I was thinking it gets announced later. Also, the major reason I am thinking that you donât want an oblivion remaster/remake take away from Avowed thatâs releasing in Q1. I think MS haas the luxury to hold off announcement for it because I donât think its wise to announce it close to Avowedâs release
I honestly donât know why Switch is growing in sales in weekly basis in Japan compare to last year. PS is back to 20,000 range as Pro is second most sold in PS family with just 5,500. The software is conquered by Switch games, especially recent Mario Party. Sad for some new releases didnât even chart top 10 alas Fairy Tail 2. Tough crowd.
Every single Bethesda remaster/remake has been announced outside of the TGAs, most of them at QuakeCon, and Skyrim Special Edition and Anniversary Editions both did absolutely fine on the sales front. Not everything revolves around TGAs, otherwise we wouldnât have expos and directs the rest of the year
Not addressing the rumor itself, just pointing out the flaw in logic.

As nice this is, I can imagine Sony getting a bit frustrated on getting some returns.

Makes me wonder if that could mean exclusive content for Sony for some games, or actually games. Strategic allianceâŚ
Sounds more like the former, but I guess weâll see.
First refusal on publishing and marketing rights I would assume, which might mean some exclusive content or games as long as it wouldnât cost either much to do it (so for example Elden Ring 2 being exclusive is unlikely, but some exclusive cosmetics or at worst a mission I can see happening.
Also port preference or at least same time - so those Switch-only / Switch-first games they make in the non-From bits may become PS too from launch.
Wasnât Elden Ring marketed by Xbox? So even securing marketing for the second game is a big deal for them
Feels like it will be more towards on anime than anything.
Yep preferred platform / exclusive to CrunchyRoll would be a big win for them
Importantly, and not mentioned here, is that itâs not like Sony can dictate to Kadokawa that they should forego the other platforms entirely as that would be a massive hit to the bottom line, and being a majority shareholder (esp with such a small stake relatively) doesnât grant them the ability to defy the laws that the leadership have to abide by: namely the responsibility to the rest of the shareholders
More so, I see this as a push from an anime standpoint and for Sony to reap the rewards of Fromâs latest glow-up, just like they did with Epic⌠last I checked, UE5 isnât even used by Sony, itâs purely for profit gains.
