I didn’t put too much stock in the SteamDB numbers for Concord, since it’s a PlayStation-first game, afterall. But according to the gameplay charts on TrueTrophies, it debuted at #147 on PlayStation, which is shockingly bad, no matter how you want to look at it.

Yep, I’ve been staggered how different much of the coverage of Concord is to that of Redfall.
It does seem a bit generic, and unfortunately launching a knock-off of Guardians of the Galaxy when Marvel Rivals is coming soon (for free) isn’t great timing.
No idea why they didn’t pivot to use an existing IP or try to get some licence for it.
That plus the dislike of live service games from Sony by much of the PS fanbase (particularly after the demise of the one multiplayer first party they were looking forward to, Factions 2) seems to have guaranteed it’s demise.
However while I understand the feeling of much of the PS fanbase, another reason I cancelled was the comments sections on PushSquare (which I indirectly support if I’m paying a sub to PureXbox) on Concord is about 40% the kind of toxic stuff I’d expect to see on Twitter - and it’s getting pretty regular on there so I’m happy to avoid it like I do Twitter

The one that gets to me are the Rival Schools games. I owned them on PS1 and Project Justice especially on the Dreamcast. They finally re release like I’ve wanted them to for years only for them to skip the console I play on.

Actually, I’m looking at my talking points sheet here, and I’m pretty sure the third strategy after “It’s too soon to say it failed” and “Stop talking about failure, it’s mean” is “Concord was a unique and brilliant game that the masses were too dumb to appreciate.”

I know he’s a console-warring knob, is that why VGC has had to apologise or is there something more?
I wish I could get into more MMORPGs than just one(which I can’t even play at the moment, I really should thinking if moving on from ESO).
I was in a dungeon the other day and happened to remark that I was playing on Xbox. The other players were like, “Whoa! The mythical Xbox player! I’ve never seen one before!”
