Hopefully with Tom Warren saying it there will be something big for us lol.
Wonder if we get a re-appearance of GTA? Lots of options out there.

Hunt on Gamepass is great.
Yeah, Tom is often Xbox centric, isn’t he? Interesting!
Yeah, well he is a Microsoft focused journalist. Hopefully Jez saying he didn’t expect anything big from Xbox was wrong haha.
That said, I’m fine either way. We have so much announced and the Dev Direct right around the corner.
This is also in Halo: MCC, pretty sure. They both let you earn Xbox achievements as well, while playing on Steam.
True. Could be a great multiplatform release as well! Dev direct? January? That be cool!

Yep! Because it certainly won’t be at the TGA 2025.
Irony.
Play Cooking Mama
It’s more likely I will find something I think I can make with the engredients at home and just try.
Saw this randomly on the new games section on the dashboard. The standalone expansion finally made it to console, was PC exclusive. Nice, but also made me sad about the Mimimi situation again
Cooking is a pretty neat man, since the pandemic I’ve learned to cook more and experiment and develop general cooking skills, it’s therapeutic too (except for the dishwashing).
like many on here have said the game award is clearly marketing to get people to buy games for the holiday season. If they were serious they would host the event in January or February. So many games get snub because they released in December, and then forgotten in the following year. The biggest crime of that was chained echoes that was robbed for many awards it could’ve won if it didn’t miss the cut off
Game Awards in being driven by marketing needs shocker. The entire thing is a dull as fuck procession of meh.
I agree wholeheartedly that having TGA in the new year would be to prefer. I don’t see how anyone could actually want to have it before the year is even up, makes no sense from a “Best of the Year” perspective.
But the reality being what it is, means that publishers that want to have a shot at an award really ought to take the timing of TGA into consideration when deciding when to launch.
I know, it’s not always that easy. But there’s a reason why heavy awards contenders for the Oscars are often either released very late in the year, or have a token release in December to become eligible, and then properly released the following year. And they only have recency bias to worry about, not an awards ceremony held in December.
In all honesty, I think the fact that some publishers opt to release games at a time when they know they don’t have much of a shot at an award, is an indication that developers and publishers don’t actually care that much about winning a TGA award.
I wouldn’t be surprised if game industry people put more weight on the DICE Awards than TGA. Similar to how movie industry people put more weight on an Oscar, than a Golden Globe. One is awarded by your peers, the other is awarded by the press.
Ahhh, I see.
Well, I can’t deny that it would be cool to see what ND has been working on.
Things just keep getting worse for everyone.
TGAs had a noble goal of becoming the Oscars of gaming to ‘legitmize’ gaming in Hollywood. But I would argue, much like the Oscars, it’s just not relevant anymore.
