From the Reuters article is seems like Guillemot is arranging everything and wants to keep it’s current control. But Tencent wants more control and is going to keep negotiations open to keep rivals away.

Hopefully they do keep control, with how low their stock is valued right now I’m sure there are lots of rivals capable of acquiring them.
Is there any reason we want them in control considering how the companies been run?
I kind of feel Tencent doesn’t have an issue with letting Guillemot keep running things. But they’re unwilling to leave Ubisoft make it’s own decisions without their input.
While the family have been implicated in some unsavoury allegations, assuming they’ve removed the bad apples I guess the feeling is that being French they’ve generally avoided layoffs unless absolutely necessary - unlike too many UK / US companies that layoff at the drop of a hat to please shareholders.
If they’ve not really cleaned house, then best we can hope for if they do have a takeover of some sort is the new leadership retains the French attitude to layoffs…

Yes, and honestly maybe presents a potential for an additional mode on the X?
-A 120hz mode at 1080p? or maybe even a fedielty mode 1080-1440p with higher graphics settings RT/shadows/etc.
I feel like someone always says this to our disappointment. I’m not sure about Andy Robinson, but it might just be something big to him personally. Personally been burned by pundits for too long to trust their teases anymore.
