Player’s choice already eliminated Astro Bot. I guess the reviews didn’t win them over. Shame that they didn’t give even give them a consideration. I guess it had to be cinematic to be known.
The thing is, The Game Awards aren’t the only show in town. There’s the GDC awards. There’s the DICE awards. There’s the BAFTA Game Awards (in March, even!) Do you want to know how embarrassing it will be if Great Circle gets nominated for awards at those awards events?

I think I’ll join.
Yeah, there’s likely not enough people who played the game to vote for it.
Honestly, this may be the first time John loves a game and other games reviewers / coverage agrees with him. (I tend to agree with him but he is a real iconoclast)

Definitely can see that happening.
New co-op peak incoming
I wonder if the joysticks are hall effect.
Edit: I guess I find out later, but I think going with hall effect sticks should be something Ifixit should negotiate.
John says it’s one of the cleanest gi lighting he’s seen. Ray traced global illumination, +/- 1080p @ 60fps on Series S. On Series X it’s 1800p, unusually high resolution for rt/gi/lumen.
This is a ray-tracing “native” title with no software fallback, the first of its kind afair… by no means perfect as there are some iq compromises on the S and not perfect shadows overall. But it is essentially the start of RT-only games, a very big step.
My personal feeling here but being RT-only might’ve actually helped the game be developed faster than usual
Just glad to see this engine being well touted. Amazing visuals at 60 fps on both series X and S much better than the UE 5 engine.
You just described most of the internet today
Indiana Jones tech looking awesome and bodes well for Doom. Going to wait for the poor people release so I can play with path tracing.
It is interesting to see the Machine games now has a offshoot of idTech called Motor.
Dang, I would think they’d be worth at least like TwentyFiveCent
This feels a lot closer to happen than Sony with Kado. That said oh boy.
I think it would be better if they sold to Amazon than Tencent.
