Worse, it’s always been one large ad and the developers are an afterthought. At least the Oscars are about the people making the movies almost exclusively…

The community needs to stop trying to change The Game Awards and instead change the importance they put on it. It’s the Winter Games Show to me, lol.

Without the big game reveals though, TGA just wouldn’t attract enough viewers. I think they could balance it better though as you can clearly see where the priorities are, especially when they’ll spend 10 minutes with Kojima and then reveal 3 award winners in the span of 30 seconds, but in the end people show up to see the big world premieres more than to see awards and I’m guessing the venue must be quite expensive.
He still probably makes quite a pretty penny from all this though.
A new console from Valve is certainly something big.

I have Indy downloaded, installed and went through the options to setup everything as im looking forward to start playing it tomorrow.
Because regardless of how bad Ubisoft is, Tencent is far worse. Just ask Dying Light 2 fans once Tencent basically took over Techland.
To each their own but I watch TGA every year live because I want to see the trailers and reveals. Waiting for the videos to get posted on YouTube would just spoil the excitement especially new reveals get announced/shown.
Hoping/expecting a new trailer for Borderlands 4, Mafia: The Old Country, Crimson Desert (with hopefully a May release date!!) and South of Midnight with a release date.

I’m expecting an Avowed trailer, possibly a Towerborne 1.0 with release date trailer and most of all, a South of Midnight trailer with the release date.
Developer Direct wise, they could go a lot of different ways. The only game im not expecting is Fable because I believe that will be saved for the Direct after the Showcase in June.

Whoever made Marvel Rivals was cooking.
It gets better the more I play and narrow down my preferred heros, there is a lot of fun in there, but I’m still finding there’s a lot of visual noise, and the lack of role queue is an issue for quick play, it’s probably a lot more fun with a group setting up a balanced team and doing team ups
Yeah, it really shines when it’s very balanced in terms of role definition.
Not so much fun when everyone picks DPS.
Is this guy on career suicide? It’s not completely wrong to suggest it’s taking heavy inspiration from Overwatch but it’s crazy to go about it this way that’s both a dig at Chinese devs and companies, and also misinformation on something that’s a wildly known IP 
I feel like he’s emotionally not not in the right place

Yeah, I’m definitely waiting to see what happens there. A new console is always a interesting happening.
For me it’s solely the time that they air it. If I watch this all the way through there won’t be any sleeping for me. It was the same with Sony E3 shows and that’s just not worth it. And next day I can just fire up the whole thing and if there are any overly long speeches or just annoying stuff I can fast forward it. 
A ingame Mafia trailer would be awesome. It’s possible.

One thing Marvel RIvals needs to fix is it’s UI. Everything is just so messy and needs better accessibility because trouble reading some of the text and icons.

While I have yet to play, I do hope Rivals stay around and be successful. I’m exhausted from seeing developers closing the game, especially when they see it big success from launch. Time will tell.
Honestly they should just drop the "awards " part and call it that!
