Just in time for the holidays. Best of luck!
Itâs refreshing and makes me want to watch, so I guess it works.
Whatâs new, regrading closure, and future project?
I mean this make sense now⌠But happy to see what is cooking.
This has made sense for at least two years but I think I agree with Jez on that though the message is right, itâs not the best time to bring it to the masses like that because itâs still not a seamless experience to figure out, between some of their own implementations, some legal, developer-side, and other platform restrictions (iOS/Android/TVs) itâs gonna take time to be close to true to vision. I know games will never be video files, a gaming ecosystem will never be like Netflix or YouTube on its seamless availability across platforms, but what is currently available as the Xbox Ecosystem can be further optimized, is largely still in beta and not frictionless enough to be advertised to the mass market, imo.
I Wonder if they will start including a âcall to actionâ to these ads, soon.
Something like âclick here to turn your device into an Xboxâ where it essentially starts streaming an Xbox dashboard after you log in with your Live Account.
Cloud streaming is still an abstract concept for a lot of people. Letting people do that and see the 400 games available on GPU might blow their minds. I did when I logged into my account on my friendâs TV to show them Flight Sim 2020 a month ago. We spent 10 minutes going through the game list.
All these Avowed previews are getting hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and are all very positive, hit incoming.
The closure wasnt really discussed, this was more around his history in the industry, immersive sims and how player habits have changed.
He did briefly mention that he is currently trying to secure funding for his new project (he perked up, so seems excited) and that he still hopes that he has a few more projects in him before retirement.
Sorry what makes sense? I saw a few insiders teasing this earlier but havenât seen what these new teasers are in relation too.
This is an Xbox makes sense to me, but Warren is teasing itâll make more sense.
Ie, thatâs at worst a cloud linked controller for playing on any device with a browser, or it is a handheld/xbox PC tease.
Ah ok, I understood the original reference but thought I had missed some news.
The cloud linked controller was originally called Sebile (according to the FTC leak), right?
I wouldnât be surprised if they announce the handheld and cloud controller together.
Iâve been following battery tech for a couple of decades now and there is always the promise of something new and something big just a couple years down the road. Itâs never come. Same thing with massive storage increase using data cubes for storage. Still not here.
Iâm still waiting for my Flying Car. Where is it?
They actually do exist, kind of.
As in they only fly until they hit the ground?
I think there a few companies making them in China. Theyâre more like drones than cars, but yeah.
Thereâs one in Flight Simulator 2024.
