I’m trying to recall which ones are left at this point from last gen? I know FPS boost is on pretty much all of those that haven’t received boosts, but the additional details provided in the updates would be nice forAC3, for example.

Finally home and had to get on here to say the game awards is a joke, and I am not watching it. How the heck does DLC get nominated for GOTY? It’s a slap in the face to other games that deserve it. I guess he wants to be buddies with the ceo of from software because none of it makes any sense.
Also, Wukong had a 81 metacritic score and that lower than the so called awful game Starfield . How does that get in, but something like Infinite Wealth, UFO 50, Tekken,and a bunch of other games. Geoff really did a money hungry move because he wants his show to reach new markets and capture the Chinese market with Wukong.
Also, how can a game that is released this year be nominated for best ongoing game. From what I see the community is angry at Helldivers 2 devs for not understanding what the community wants and an award like that for should be for games that are over 12 month old imo. Plus, snubbing a game like Sea of Thieves that is still going and is succesful on a new platform is a slap in the face.
Also, how can the show not have a best remake/remaster category and best dlc category. I feel that solves a lot of issues. Anyway, what his award shows me him and the media are anti-xbox because we know if certain games were on xbox and not playstation it wouldn’t be nominated
I won’t be watching or care about the results. I will watch trailers for new games on YouTube
Edit; how does College Football not get nominated for best sports game when it was responisble for moving the most next gen consoles this year.

The award nomination and most waited games list gives as little credit as possible to Xbox… Would accuse the playstation-bias but outside of this forum I would be taken as a Xbox blind fanboy

The Keighley Awards is nothing but business just look how much traffic it’s generating here even if we’re all bashing it. I think it will be good to have a competitor that steals its thunder in December. It also doesn’t help when Microsoft keeps feeding them with new reveals. You’ll never see GTA reveal here. Perhaps Xbox should bring back XO for reveals and use Keighley shows for refreshes. Pretty much show the old trailer. Now it’s looking like we might see a new Fable trailer and maybe Rareware’s Ever Wild

All of these nominations is an excellent confirmation of just how f-ed up the gaming media’s view is though. Anyone who doubted the bias, Xbox hate and ignorance should just sit the f down at this point.

Good - hope other Xbox accounts start to go to war with the Game Awards and Phil stops giving them big reveals.
They got the Series X reveal and still carried on being twats to Xbox - but without Xbox for platform stuff they’d have to rely solely on PlayStation first party who keep most stuff for their own shows (they don’t have enough not to) and don’t have as many releases anymore.
Keighley can blame the judges but we know he changes the rules to suit himself / his advertisers and if there’s clearly a bias among judges he could do something to try and remedy it.
It’s apparent Xbox games aren’t going to get a fair hearing when most of the gaming media have strong biases - even Totilo who I’ve generally considered one of the fairer journalists had to get help from a bias expert to try and overcome his intense dislike of Microsoft to review Hellblade 2 fairly, and demanded Xbox address studio closures at their June showcase while not asking Sony to do the same at theirs despite a similar slew of closures only weeks earlier.
If even those who hold themselves up as examples of unbiased gaming journalists with integrity can’t help their bias against Xbox in public, how are secret ballots for the Game Awards ever going to be fair, given there’s literally no incentive to do so as Xbox play nice while Sony might boycott the Awards and any publications judging the process if they’re not nominated.
(If anyone says that’d never happen, look for publications saying their reviews are going to be late for PlayStation first party / published games - it’s nearly always those that previously said something bad or gave a low score.)
Maybe I’m bitter but I’d really bloody love someone to come along and do to Keighley’s shows what he did to E3…

Idk if there’s a Sony acquisition thread but according to Reuters Sony is in talks to buy Kadakowa which is the majority owner of FromSoftware, they also own Spike Chunsoft and other devs.

Easy now, a ton of eyes are on this show lol. It’s good for studios to get a chance to show off their games on one of the largest stages.

Yeah but as someone else said, maybe do a Sony and release them elsewhere first then show something a bit new but not a first look - keep those for the June showcase which had almost as many eyeballs on it this year.
What’s the point in giving him reveals when he couldn’t be any clearer that he’s only excited when he gets to slap a PS5 port in the face of fans, or when he gets to talk Kojima or Sony.
His look of sheer boredom when discussing Xbox games recently can’t have gone unnoticed and likely helps set the feelings of the owners of those eyes, adhd of subsequent coverage.
We’d all be a lot better off without his crappy show, it’s just dull and goes on forever so he can earn as much money as possible - give me an Xbox showcase instead that third parties are invited too, at least Xbox knows how to pace an event and keep it interesting
It’d be sad to see Spike go as they make some cool games, but as someone who needs accessibility options and From tell me to go fuck myself, they can go fuck themselves off a cliff for all I care.
On a positive note for those that do care, I doubt Sony would make them all fully exclusive (at most timed) as buying a company then reducing their sales by reducing platforms isn’t normally great for your asset values / books and Sony need greater profitability not less.
It won’t stop the usual media / fanboy suspects claiming everything will be 100% exclusive but I imagine they’ll be left disappointed…

So Sony will own all of anime? Thank god i have no interest in this. Will be interesting how this will affect From and Spike Chunsoft. The latter has a lot of games with content Sony doesnt like.
oh i did not notice that but this is indeed a big oversight lol. Also no nomination for Golden Idol for best indie games is just plain wrong.
