Did you watch the Avowed preorder trailer? Damn what a glow up.
I just bought a new controller as kids have thrashed current ones. Registered the serial number in my Microsoft account and warranty says already expired. Whatâs that about? Should be 2 years from the day i register the serial number i would have thought.
If you contact support & can provide proof of purchase, etc - they may be able to update warranty expiration date. I did this when I bought my X One X, it was down to a couple of months of warranty when I bought it and they updated it so I had the full warranty period.
Good. Licensed games always cause issues downstream, and as we enter a world where we have so much old content accessible, having to eventually remove content because of licensing is a PITA.
The worst thing about licenced games is that, I hate that we lose the ability to purchase old Forzaâs and racing games overall suffer the most, especially the console exclusive ones (I WANT TO PLAY HORIZON 1 AT 60FPS!), at least now itâs better because everything is on PC and so thereâs always gonna be access to any games there.
I found this article pretty interesting and even though not gaming related it could be applied to many aspects of business and life:
What Is the First Thing Remarkably Successful People Do? Figure Out Which Game Theyâre Actually Playing
Contrasting that concept to Xboxâs console efforts, I think itâs safe to say that Xbox realized what the game was and decided not to play, for better or worse.
We all know which sort of titles get the most attention in this industry. We know that buying up 3rd party exclusives attracts people to buying your machine. We all know that you need massive marketing budgets with constant messaging to remind people of the existence of your product. PlayStation has done all of that to perfection and Xbox/MS never felt comfortable doing the same.
But thatâs a game that isnât big business. Itâs like having the best ice cream shoppe in the city. Brand recognition and product is fantastic. But a general all-purpose convenience store makes more money than you.
Instead, Xbox is going to where the puck is. Theyâre playing tomorrowâs game. Itâs at the expense of their console business but itâs a much larger one.
I like this article because it does make you step back in whatever endeavour youâre pursuing and make you think about whether you truly understand what it takes to win at wherever youâre doing.
Damn, I thought they ported Resistance to PS5, but itâs streaming, subscription only. Remains interesting that the stuff Xbox gets preemptively accused of doing ends up being done by the other platforms. I wonder what the âpreservationâ âgame ownershipâ folk who are always chastising Xbox about those topics are thinking of thisâŚ

Was one of the biggest talking points against Gamepass as I recall. Now crickets.
By regulators no less! Now look at this, example 10000 of Sony doing the thing they pretended to be afraid of if Xbox were to do said thing⌠just like usual though, Sony will get away with it and the media also will just hand waive it away.
Anyone else planning to watch 58 year old Mike Tyson fight Jake Paul tonight on Netflix?
I feel like Iâm being played, but I have to
Same. The Welterweight title fight has been great so far though.
Aha yes, watching the undercards now
Canât believe they zoomed in on that bare ass too.
Look what they took away from us

Wish I hadnât, that was one of the most boring matches Iâve ever seen.
