I’ve always wondered why a episode 3 or just HL3 never happened. Is Gabe afraid it won’t ever live up to the greatness of 1 and 2?

Pretty similar but Halo Infinite and Forza Motorsport are much less popular here (both have been much lower than this though), and Fallout 76 and Halo MCC doesn’t break the top 50.
Outside of Xbox games we also have Death Stranding at #36! Dragon Age doing great at #13.

Performances don’t seem to be great in 60 FPS performance mode from some accounts. The game is CPU heavy so it doesn’t surprise me at all.

It’s really such an anomaly, but Gabe never struck me as a guy who cares what others think. I don’t think the decision, or indecision, to release Episode 3 came from him.

I wonder if they’re using a vrr capable tv or monitor to play?
They’re adding PS3 games to their existing PS3 streaming service. No reason to turn everything into some sort of console war controversy.
He’s spoken about third games often being cursed - Half Life, Left 4 Dead, Portal and Team Fortress have all stopped at 2, all his games.
He’s got a point to be fair (unless previous games were completely different, say 2D like GTA) - Mass Effect 3 was decent but it couldn’t ever live up to 2, Mafia 3 wasn’t great, Age of Empires 3 wasn’t the strongest etc.
There have been some great ones since he made that call though - Halo 3, Witcher 3 etc.
But think the overall idea is that the first game introduces the idea, then the second iterates on it and improves / expands everything.
Then the third one, you either have to just iterate a bit more (leading to accusations it’s not bringing anything new) and please the hardcore fans, or do something new to make the devs, critics and new players happy.
Basically with the third one unless it’s special, it’s very hard to keep everyone happy lol

If this was turned into console war controversy Sony might actually try to do PS3 BC 
also even their other PS1/2 titles that are not streamed are subscription-only (to the highest tier, mind you). If you don’t know why I highlighted that, again, it’s because many people said that Xbox/Game Pass will do those type of stuff making streaming or subscription exclusive games, while Sony & Nintendo do them for real, nothing is said and it’s accepted, no controversy or real pushback…

I guess I just need to try it out, VRR tends to get great results from most games, with only one game I was interested in playing being so bad that it couldn’t do anything for it.

Can’t go questioning Sony or anything they do, that’s “console wars”. Xbox is always fair game though. You should know how this works by now.

A friend of mine told me I should watch a bit of the two women fighting each other in that same stream, because they are truly going at it. Watching a bit of that now and yeah, sheesh, that cut looks damned bad. Why do people do this to themselves, for sport? Lol.
And I haven’t seen Paul and Tyson yet but from what I read here but also my friend and all over the Internet it was quite bad. It’s kinda ironic how you keep seeing “Paul vs Tyson” throughout this stream and then the fight itself is a bore, lmao.

Yeah the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight was actually really good.
I prefer MMA over Boxing and the injuries there are far worse.
To me they both seemed to be pulling their punches and Tyson barely landed anything the entire fight (I think he landed 18?). I wouldn’t be surprised if that whole thing was staged like many are speculating.
Yeah, I saw people saying that too. But why would Tyson want that? What’s in it for him?
And yeah, I saw a recent video of Tyson training and that was a world of difference with what we see during the match.

Thats a part of it. They also got distracted during development of Epistle 3 by Left 4 Dead and other stuff. Valves company structure might also be a hindrance. If there is not enough enthusiasm for a project it dies. It seems like Half Life needs a real good hook to work at Vavle, Alyx had it with the VR stuff.

They really need to do a better demo for one thing and yep release on Xbox too.
After upgrading my PC I got the demo from Steam to see what it was about, thinking it’d be one of my first new games to play.
Instead found it a bit dull, I’ll get round to it at some point but it’s just missing something - or it’s just too slow / boring an introductory demo to get people hooked and they need to choose a different bit…
