I’m not angry at MS or Obsidian, I just think that it is unecrssary and could cause more bad than good. I want to enjoy the game with everyone. Early access gives me nothing of value, but it takes something from regular players.

In 5 days, a lot of people will have finished the game already and spoiled it to those who are still waiting for it to release properly.

Some people on GP may don’t want to try it anymore reading everything from players who can ruin your fun. I say that as I can see it happen to me personally.

It will be the same for Indiana Jones but I feel like 3 days is tolerable.

I can see your point, though I guess you would hate travelers that love vacation at New Zealand. But seriously, I think it won’t have that much of an effect or you can look at getting them too curious to try themselves. It works both ways.

This. I may do the $35 upgrade for Indiana Jones because it includes 3 days Early Access and the story expansion set for 2025. Avowed is only Early Access and cosmetics. Meh.

There’s over 500 games that you can get for less than $10, starting at $0.74, so there’s quite a bit to choose from.

Here’s a few suggestions:

  • Star Wars: Squadron ($1.99) (my impressions)
  • Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition ($2.99) (standard edition is inexplicably pricier)
  • Star Wars: KotOR (and sequel) ($3.49)
  • Unravel Two (great couch co-op puzzle platformer) ($3.99) (for $7.49 you can get a bundle with both Unravels, but know that the first one is single player only)
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition ($3.99)
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided ($4.49) (or $6.74 for the Deluxe edition)
  • Beyond a Steel Sky ($4.99) (a must-play if you liked Beneath)
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition ($5.99)
  • Sniper Elite 4 (5.99) (one of the most underrated franchises in gaming, imo) (Deluxe Edition is $8.99)
  • Middle-Earth: Shadow of War ($7.49)
  • Mafia: Definitive Edition ($7.99)
  • Control: Ultimate Edition ($7.99)
  • PGA Tour 2K23 ($8.99)
  • Watch Dogs: Legion ($8.99)
  • BioShock: The Collection ($9.99) (all three games)
  • The Witcher III ($9.99)

I left off anything I know will be on Game Pass permanently. There’s lots titles of those for under $10. Also, there’s a lot of the usual suspects from Ubisoft, various Assassin Creeds, The Divisions, Ghost Recons, Rainbow Sixes, Far Crys…

And finally, True Achievements’ list of this sale lets you sort by price: Xbox Black Friday Sale 2024

I hope so, but I would have still bought the Deluxe upgrade without the early access and prefer playing with everyone realtively at the same time. When evrybody plays (at the same time) we all win !

Rumor. Some spotted a collection on Xbox store. Time will tell.

What region are you in? This is so different from mine lol.

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that after 2 and 4, WE made a comment about how they eventually wanted the rest on there so it makes sense.

Thank you bro, appreciate it! You read my mind with excluding permeant GP games lol. I have almost everything on here, I’m thinking of Sniper Elite 4 as I really liked 5.

On the one hand, they’ve already done all the other technical / controller work.

On the other…Age of Empires 3 is a real least favorite kid.

It can be someone’s favorite, so why not.

With the campaign going on, best to do it like this way.

Oh, no denigration meant, I just would be surprised. But hey, I think they just announced more DLC for Age 3 also, so what do I know.

I didn’t mean to reply in a snapback way, so no harm, no foul.

I actually really enjoyed 3 back in the day. I played an obscene amount of it, especially because you could unlock visual things for your civilization’s home screen menu. AoE 2 is still my favorite, but 3 is a close 2nd for me and I’d be up for playing it on Xbox. Not sure the demand will be there though, because as you said, most fans don’t remember it fondly.

Was gonna say, I loved 3. Genuinely a fan of the entire series and 3 is far from a bad, or even middling, game.

Since the surprised release of Death Stranding Director’s Cut on Xbox, they are shooting on all cylinders it seems. What a week !

Speaking of DS, I am getting through it, and really starting to get it, so I will definitely continue…But man, I am disappointed you don’t get to have the music player on you, like in MGS5… a bummer, it was such an amazing feature and I feel it’s perfectly fitting for DS too, but nope Kojima wants you to only listen to his predetermined music choices :frowning:
