XboxEra Community Hangout |OT13| The Bakers Dozen

For story it’s optimal if you play the first, yes. It can still be enjoyed on its own, but prior knowledge will make it better, more connected. I think the first one is still a good time and holds up nicely if you want to grab the remastered.

Ah balls I imagine it’ll be on sale at the same time so I’ll probably grab the remaster - not like the backlog is going down anytime soon anyway lol…

Still got the 360 original and my 360 but think the remaster is the way to go - it’s likely miles better done than the GTA Trilogy remaster (one of the few games I’ve ever refunded)

The remaster Is good, though since you have on 360 It’s BC and fps boosted you can try it and see if you’re fine with it, no need to purchase the remaster then

The momentum Xbox has this latter part of the year is huge. Love to see it.

It certainly is and it’s good to see them capitalizing on it. COD was really the spark they needed, and it looks like it will be good from here on. The amount of games coming in Game pass is crazy and then you have all this games that skipped Xbox now returning Genshin and Zenless zero in December even the Capcom games early next year and the Final fantasy games really good news,

First game was more of thriller action than what it is now. I replayed it right before I started 2. It was straightforward yet simply fun game. It won’t take you long as well. 2 is a different story. It’s like reverse Resident Evil. It started with action and not much to be afraid of to wisely use your resource and be afraid of what’s lurking.

Not sure I want one.

Sounds like easy/low risk money from their perspective. Probably a smart move considering their recent performance.

People really need to understand that there’s no definitive version of Batman. There are so many different universes in DC, that Batman can literally be anyone.

Edit: just wanted to add that one of my favorite versions of Batman is from Brave and The Bold animated series. Where he went around traveling across Earth, space and alternate dimensions teaming up with other heroes.

I replayed it recently and yeah no need, if they only patch the versions currently for 60fps that’ll be enough. I’d rather Arkham Knight get at least a basic image quality & 60fps update if anything, call it a remaster if you want lol.

Nick says you dont need to follow the story of Alan Wake at all and that you should even skip all the cutscenes in AW2.

Yeah but the one who tweeted that is a well known culture war grifter Yotuber and nothing they say should be taken even remotely seriously.

Nick yearns for the arcade and honestly I respect that

Man, one of SEGA’s most frustrating decisions was not putting this on the 360, it released in 2006, should’ve been on the new consoles then ffs :sob: it would’ve made playing it today less of a hassle, I don’t have an og and the PC version is not stable for me.

Then why did they start with 3? I thought MGS1 was the more demanded remake and starting from the first would make more sense idk t

I don’t play MGS but I think someone said MGS3 was the first chronologically. I also imagine MGS1 would need to be REmake tier, where MGS3 is just a new coat of paint.

Yeah both these reasons are sound, the MGS games are all over the place timeline-wise, for a example I know MGSV, which is the last mainline one, was a prequel but for which one? Idk, that game’s story was gibberish to me lol
