V was after 3 and Peace Walker, before the rest. Making 3 first under the delta title makes sense and hopefully it means we get remakes of 2 and 3 after Collection Volume 2. If enough people start picking these up, maybe we’ll get Konami to build a team for a proper sequel.
As I’ve said before, give me remaster collections and remakes any day, just don’t give me that Sony-level barely-touched up single-game priced at full despite being a remaster of a two year-old game (/rant). Prefer new IP/games obviously but sometimes we need the former to subsidize the latter.
I wouldn’t be interested in a sequel unless it built on V’s engine/mechanics, that was such an insane action-espionage sandbox that still plays so incredibly well. The problem I had with the other MGS games I tried to play is they always seemed to interrupt gameplay with radio calls and cutscenes too often in a way I don’t like and eventually gave up, while V after the prologue was basically all gameplay lol.
That’s totally fair; a lot of MGS purists hated V, but not me - I loved it just as I do the old ones. I tend to be a lot more open to evolution while still being able to enjoy the old.
This totally makes sense. I wasn’t the biggest fan of 3 but there are a lot of people out there who have never played mgs so it makes sense to start from the start time wise.
I think even the Mafia 2 remaster didn’t receive a 60fps. That developer/publisher is weird with their 60fps, they’ll probably want to sell a new collection later on that has a performance mode, before the new game
That seems overly complex and really bad timing and logistics from Sony. You need to already have the PS5 to get the adapter (need the PS5 Serial #). If you get one for Xmas or later, it may be too late if they’re out of stock.
Any way to have it synced to both Xbox and PC (switching between the two with 2-clicks on the sync button ) without it powering on the Xbox everytime? I leave it connected to PC, and the next time I turn it on it defaults to Xbox and powers it on, and I don’t want that…
Turn on the controller and the instant the Xbox logo lights up, and I mean THE INSTANT, press sync twice, it stops it from powering on the Xbox. I have now tested 3 times and it works!

Next year even with only the above will be a very promising year for Xbox/Game Pass! now imagine if Fable (and maybe Gears E-Day?) will release in the second half of the year…the only thing that will complicate release dates for the second half of the year is the potential release of GTA6.

Avowed is February 18th even though Microsoft SHOULD move up the release date to January 24th/28th and get away from being sandwiched by Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza with Monster Hunster Wilds ten days after Avowed which is the odd game out. If they can manage it, move that fucker up!!
I believe Doom: The Dark Ages will be Spring and depends on where Indiana Jones is for PlayStation 5 as Microsoft isn’t going to want either game overshadow the other as they want them both to sell well on PlayStation 5.
I can see South of Midnight being late June with a “launch trailer” during the showcase. Indiana Jones in March or May with Doom being the opposite. Ara: History Untold in September for Xbox.
Damn…just remembered, Towerborne is early 2025 for Xbox. Avowed should be moved up to late January, Towerborne in early March, Indiana Jones for PS5 in April followed by Doom in late May. Midnight in mid-to-late June.
Call of Duty 2025 in late October and Fable in November will round out the year in my opinion. And of course, none of this includes whatever games Microsoft gets day one in Game Pass Ultimate from third party publishers.
