Multiversus could’ve been a hit, big IPs and recognizable characters, it plays really well, looks nice, f2p… but its questionable monetization hurt it most likely. You should not monetize gameplay elements.

Great news today with Death Stranding coming to Xbox and the upcoming SoM previews! 
Also not related but Black Ops 6 campaign is great, having a lot of fun with this one! Raven did an awesome job with the game.

Yeah it’s one of those few examples where F2P was a bad choice - make it 30 quid for a load of base characters then maybe 5/10 quid for DLC packs of new characters.
As you say, it plays well, recognisable characters (and ones people are nostalgic over) but the predatory monetisation hurt it - whereas it being purely about buying new characters or the base game I think they’d have made a killing, there’s a reason Smash etc can sell well

Never had any interest in Death Stranding and still don’t but it’s awesome that it’s now on Xbox.
Related side note - a few weeks ago, twitter and forums told me that because 343 was switching to Unreal Engine, it guarantees that it’s going to PlayStation so that would surely mean that due to Death Stranding now being on Xbox and the fact that it was developed using the Decima Engine that we’re getting Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West on Xbox too right?
